Bacon had a lot of fat it’s very expensive now
This has always been the brand of bacon we buy. It was affordable and tasted good. The last few years I've noticed a very inconsistent product. More and more fat, very thin slices that are practically nothing once cooked. The most recent package will be my last. What is this stuff? Smelled like absolutely nothing while cooking. Several pieces were nearly all fat. Bacon didn't crisp up like normal. Taste like, I guess just salt? No bacon flavor. Added a picture of my most recent package which looks more normal than most but still a lot of fat on half of the package.
This package is almost all fat ! Not even trying to eat this . And walmart new way to screw u is to ask to bring in for a return . Only prob is I GET DELIVERIES BECAUSE I CANT DRIVE !!!
bacon was not air tight sealed and some bacon strips were already turning black or discolored! picture was of whole order cause many things were missing. they found the rest a few min later but i refused to accept the bacon.
I've been getting this bacon for years. The last 2 packages I have bought at seperate times have both yeilded YELLOW grease and the bacon has a yellow tint. Not to mention it's now paper thin to the point it rips when you try to take it out of the package. I wish pictures did it justice. It has this tint of what I can only describe as dead flesh. Switched to a different brand and it didn't do that.
I don't usually have a problem with this bacon but I ordered it for pick up and when I got home and unloaded the bags one of the two packages wasn't even vacuumed sealed and was a totally different color as the other. This is really crappy of Walmart especially since prices are so high and every bit of groceries we buy are accounted for. Since we live 15 miles from town it really makes this an inconvenience. The people that shop these items need to pay attention to what they are doing.
I had a grocery pick up on 12/20/2023 and we cooked the bacon this morning. It looked weird so we checked the package and it expired in November 2023. The Walmart shopper picked expired bacon for us.
There was virtually no meat, it was all fat. See the photos attached. When I requested a refund, Walmart instantly gave me a refund. My poor review is for the product.

Allowed shopper to select and purchase bacon that was already open and spoiled!
