TThis is a delicious quick meal for two older adults! Goes great with mashed potatoes or egg noodles. The meat is very tender and tasty. There's not a lot of gravy, but I made extra from brown gravy mix. This was our first time trying it, and I highly recommend it! I'll definately buy it again!
All these people want to complain about the size and the taste and whatever else. It's a quick prepared meal to heat up and eat. If you want to complain then spend more than double the $ and a lot more time and make it yourself. This is for convenience and isn't that bad. Stop crying.
I've ordered this before and it seems that the meat content has gone down. Still good flavor but I probably won't order it again. Made about a meal and a half for me with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
This looked like dog food. Did I still eat it? Yes. Why? Because I'm gross. But I won't buy it again.
The flavor is not bad, but you can amp it up. Disappointed that my husband's first bite was riddled with bone/gristle. We cut through the remaining meat and the remaining meat was okay. Just a turn off though.
I've bought other Hormel dinners and always enjoyed them, but this one was jarring. The flavor is really good, but first bite, just a big chunk of lard. Second bite, a great big piece of cartilage. If that stuff doesn't bother you, then great, but I can't-- had to toss it.
I LOVED buying this as a quick family dinner meal. It was $7 for one package of beef tips, and was filled with meat - delicious dinner for family of 3! Made sure to always have it in the fridge / freezer. Now I went to buy again and it went up to almost $10 a package!??!!! With LESS meat! not happy… won't be buying anymore, sadly.
What I loved: super convenient and fast preparation; great flavor with plentiful amount of gravy; tender meat What I didn't love: the meat had a very unpleasant texture; not positive but I think it was much too fatty for my preferences; at least half of the "meat" was gelatinous and had no chew It was so off-putting I couldn't even finish one serving. Disgusting. Especially for almost $10. Hoping to get a refund...we'll see how that goes.
I cracked my tooth on a small piece of a bone in with my meat covered with gravy. I need to go to my dentist to get it repaired.
Looks absolutely nothing like the package photo. It kinda turned to mush, not really bites. Taste is a 2/5 for me. I’d eat it if I had to. My family said it looked too much like canned dog food and would not eat it. A waste of $.
