My first grader can easily answer most of these and enjoys the feedback. They seem to be fairly aligned with curriculum standards.
This set of 600 multiple choice questions comes in a sturdy storage box, complete with color coded divider tabs. The tabs make it easy for the parent or teacher to grab a particular topic they'd like each student to work on. Hot Dots cards can be used either one-on-one with a student or the student can work independently using a Hot Dots pen. The pens give immediate feedback letting the child know if their answer is correct. If the child gets the answer wrong, the pen shares words of encouragement. I think this set of Grade 2 Language Arts cards would be helpful to not only homeschoolers, but also for children needing a little practice during their school year or even to prevent a loss of information over the summer. We received this in return for our honest review. We homeschool and I gave these cards to my 2nd grade son to work through. There are 600 cards broken down into 25 categories within the box and they all correlate with the National Standards. They are brightly illustrated and have 4 choices for the answer to the question on each card. These make a good quiet time activity and review over the summer. I appreciate the variety of topics the student works through : Friendly Letter, Parts of a Book, Word Families, Making Predictions and more! My son enjoys answering the questions and hearing the voice say "way to go!" and "perfect" when he gets one correct. I like that you can turn the volume down or completely off. The pen will still light up even when silent. *YOU MUST BUY THE PEN SEPARATELY!!!!)
