We bought this for my 2 year old for Christmas this year even though its for 5+. I have to say its been holding up really well to my little girl and how rough she plays with it. Shes knocked it down and made the pieces of the track disconnect at the hinges countless times and the plastic has never cracked or broken. The only reason we have any issues with the track coming unconnected is because my daughter is two and likes to push really hard on the track with her cars and make them go up the track instead of down like they are supposed to. (the track pieces are very easy to connect so its not an issuse for us) This is however easily fixed, we usually just lay the supports down and make the track lay flat on the ground. I don't think the track disconnecting would be much of an issue for an older child. The plastic is well made and this track has been a ton of fun for my daughter, great Christmas present :)
We bought this for our son's birthday and he was so excited after seeing the commercials for it. Once I figured out how to unfold it and put it together, which wasn't that bad, he started the races right away. Right away I found where the frustration would begin, in his excitement to get the cars from the end, just the slightest touch would knock the track over and he would have to set it back up. Not a huge deal, but started to get tedious after about 10 minutes of racing. Great idea, just wish it wasn't so flimsy.
My 5 year old nephews love to race cars but this track is so flimsy it constantly falls over at the slightest touch. It also kept coming apart at the hinges so they would have to put it back together, within an hour it was broken permanently. I gave it a 2 only because they enjoyed racing when they could.
My son received this as a Christmas present, and I'm returning it to the store! It's poorly made, and the slightest touch will make it fold up or fall over. I would not recommend this to anyone.
