I haven't used dryer balls before, but so far, I'm happy with them. I still like to use fabric softener for the fragrance, but I'm pretty sure my clothes are now drying faster with the balls. Seem to work great!
I have been using these dryer balls for several years that I bought from other companies. WalMart has the cheapest dryer balls. They work well most especially when I only get to change them once a year. Saves me money because I don't have to buy dryer sheets anymore. They are noisy when spinning in the dryer but well worth it!
I have used dryer balls for about 8 years. I love them and the money I save by not buying dryer sheets or liquid softener. You do need to use 4 balls. My clothes come out nice and soft. In the winter when the air is very dry, there is a little static when you first pull out a sweater. One good shake and the static goes away. After 4 years, the balls fell apart. This is the second set of balls I have ordered. I don't know why more people don't use them. DO NOT USE THEM WITH DRYER SHEETS OR OTHER SOFTENER! Take a leap of faith and start saving money.
I've been using drier balls for a couple years now. Saves me the cost of drier sheets. The only problem is our local WalMarts have stopped carrying them, so I had to order online. But it was free site to store, so that was okay.
what a nice little item first they help on Drying time~ ......they go in and around the garment and fluff it while it is drying. AND they help prevent wrinkles. HELP with WRINKLES~ WHEN YOU *RE FLUFF* THE CLOTHES. (if you do not take them out imediatly and re fluff the item for a few minutes) the balls last up to a year~ they end to get soft and crack after hundreds of drying cycles~ but last pretty good for the price of them. I typically use 3 of them for large loads. ONLY down side is there is a LOUD bouncing sound as get tossed in the dryer. excellent little product.
Great price and two are all u need to get away from dryer sheets.I have sensitive skin so the less chemicals on me the better
Although these dryer balls do keep items circulating well in the dryer, I stopped using them because they were too noisy in my dryer.
These dryer balls much smaller than the ones you find on the store shelves by the big brand name companies. They also are very loud as they rotate in the dryer. They bang around and make loud boom noises against the dryer well as the dry cycle runs. I do find that they accomplish what they are meant to do however, which is fluff the contents of the laundry load making them soft without chemical softeners. They also made drying time a tad bit shorter...not by too much but a little.
these are ok to use, makes alot of noise while in dryer, unless you have alot of clothes in dryer. clothes still come out with static cling using these
I bought these to aid in drying my comforters. For the price I thought these were great until I realized why they were cheap. I noticed that after drying some satin sheets with these there appeared to be an oily/wet spot where the balls had got trapped in the sheets. I thought it was just a wet spot that hadn't dried but, after making my bed, I realized that these spots were oily and stiff. I thought that maybe this was just a result of some oily residue from packing and storage of the dryer balls. I later washed and dried some dress clothes with the dryer balls. I discovered oily spots on one of my nice shirts and I immediately took the balls out. Frustrated, I mashed the balls in my hand and discovered that you can feel an oily residue coming off of the balls. So, if you are looking for a chemical free alternative to drying your clothes DO NOT USE these balls! I can only imagine what chemicals are leaching out of these. In addition, they will ruin your clothes. If you insist on using these I would suggest using drying cycles that use little to no heat.
