I purchased this online, it arrived two days later. I was able to set it up very quickly. It is fast and quiet. My kids and I love it! What a great deal!
The order came surprisingly quickly. Set-up and file transfer went well with a few problems in transition from Windows XP in my old unit to Win 7 in the new. This has proved to be an excellent choice for my purposes, home office and personal communications.
My HP pavillion just died after 12 flawless years of service. I purchased this desktop unit and use it for music, pics and microsoft office for my college classes. this unit was simple to start up, easy to transfer info from old computer to new and comes with free Norton protection.
I am a retired computer tech from back in the days of the wooden modem, I use a machine till it is completely useless. This machine is all I expected and more. not a lot of blot ware, A+. But Windows 7 has a lot of Up Dates, thanks Microsoft. but that is not HP.
I was looking for just a tower PC that I could upgrade later on. That is why I chose this PC vice some of the other "mini-PCs" out there. I have owned this HP for about a month now and it's been reliable and pretty fast (considering the low price). Gotta love Wal-mart's 97 cent shipping too!
I needed a new computer and this one is very acceptable and is very fast. Only trouble is getting use to upgrades to moviemaker, I HATE this new version. Not easy to use or figure out at all, but that is a software issue that comes already installed with Windows 7, not the actual computer itself.
It may be a lower level hp model but it's been great. Good quality and support. If you aren't doing heavy gaming and programming or video editing this will handle anything you throw at it. I'm playing lord of the rings online and it handles it fine. If you are concerned with video just put in a video card but the integrated works swell.
My other computer just die and my friend (IT person) did the best he could to bring it back. I lost everything! The computer was over 5 years old and with new programs out there you will need more RAM (3Gig or more) plus more space in hard drive (500 and up). This computer is a good one for the price. But, if you're a game person then you need to find a better one then this. Keeping photos, music or just back-up data then this is the one for you. Best of luck and hope this helps you.
We have had this computer for less than 4 days and the hard drive has already crashed. When we contacted HP tech support, they told us that we could not get our money back but we did have three options 1) They would send us a box to ship it back to them to fix and then send it back to us 2) They could ship us the part and we could fix it 3) They could send someone to our home to fix it but, it would cost us $49.00.
Says it comes with •1 x MiniCard, 3 x PCI Express (x1) slots, 1 x PCI Express (x16) slot. NOT!!! I got mine took it out of the box, open up the case and found 3 x MiniCard slots and 1 x PCI Express (x16) slot. So I could not install my wireless card. Took it back for refund....So I am out .79 cents for shipping and 30 mile round trip to the store....
