This is the best phone ive ever had and iv had the Apple iPhone, Samsung Behold, (dint come to U.s Carriers yet 5.0MegaPixL),Blackberry-Strom+,Glyde,voyager and more G1 So Mannyy Things i can go on and on, dont think bout this phone BBUY!Heres a Picture i toook with it (this is the pic qualitt)
The G1 is an awesome phone especially with all the free programs from Android Market. With the WIFI set up you don't pay any minutes while using the phone in a WIFI area. Great display, great data speed. Only issue is finding a nice case instead of the terrible slipcover that comes with it. The battery life isn't that great. Hope to find another battery with more cells/longer life.
when i took this G1 out for a test drive. i could not put it down, you got everything you need in the palm of your hand, internet, gps, instant messaging, all in a EASY to use interface, everything is understandable w/o reading the directions. its easy to use from out of the box. the cool thing is they send you over the air updates (OTA). to improve the OS, add features and more! .. get this if you wanna stay connected to twitter, facebook, myspace, you can even get rss feeds right to your phone. all in all ITS AWESOME
Love the flexibility and capabilities of this phone. The Android Market has tons of useful (and usually free) apps. The only thing I didn't love was the contacts and calendar apps. I am sure someone will write a replacement for them and put them in the market.
I just want to say that this phone is a wonderful phone. I will not be upgrading to another phone. This phone has a great qwerty computer style keyboard. The various apps found in the "Market" are wonderful. I highly recommend this phone to anyone on T-Mobile. I personally use this phone. The phone is easy to use. The touch screen is a wonderful touch. I would recommend this phone over the new Nexus One phone. I connect my G1 phone to my computer with ease using the bluetooth connection. I would recommend the app "Mobile Defense" if you purchase this phone.
This phone is a wonderful phone. The screen quality is excellent and is very speedy. The touch screen is very responsive and can compare to the iPhone. The 3g is extremely fast and tops or is even better than att's 3g. The only problem with this phone is that it does not have a real-time turn by turn navigation. It has plenty of other gps features such as real birds eye view and street view like on google maps, but whats real important to me is that it can direct my from street to street and say it. I would rather pay ONLY for a smart phone and have it have gps than pay for both a gps and smart phone. These days most cheap phones have this option, but many can do without this. For me without the turn by turn (which eventually it should have it) I will have to move back to Sprint and purchase a HTC Touch Pro. Other than that, this phone is real swell ;)
This phone promises so many good things but, it falls far from meeting any of my expectation. The build quality is poor at best. The device feels very cheap and flimsy. The touch screen has a ways to come before it is usable. The operating system is impossibe to use and takes a train expert to navagate. Compared to other touchscreen pda (smartphones) this is near bottom of the barrel. I would not reccomend this device to anyone. If you are looking for a usable device that anyone could use I would strongly recomend the Apple iPhone. Apple works the G1 in all side by side comparo.
