As of this date, this product will still run on the verizon network. Our local store was reluctant to try, but actually got it running very fast. However, I can only speak as to voice and text. Have not attempted other features. Since this is windows mobile 6.1, I don't know if anything else is supported. My wife does not want a smartphone and yet wants a keyboard to permit easy texting without having to go through three characters on each key. This is good for this, and limits data fees. Since Verizon would not let us purchase one of their basic phones outright, wanting to put us on a plan that we could pay off after 30 days, and since their phones were mostly over $100 and offered no full keyboard, this seemed like a good deal for our needs.
