Wouldn't make a sound. I had to open both of them up and take out the cardboard circle that is supposed to be part of the kazoo membrane and just use the plastic/paper circle alone since they weren't glued together. This way it would work (vibrate) when hummed into, but not nearly as well as a real Kazoo.
