First time fan owner / installer and installed over bi-level landing to help improve air flow in the house. Purchased an 18" down rod and it looks great. Instructions for installation were good, with only one "panic" when locating the screws to attach the blades. They come pre-installed on the housing to protect it which i did not see. So I was looking everywhere for these screws that were in front of me the entire time. Otherwise, love the product so far. The remote guide says you can reverse the direction of the blades with a button combo on the remote, this will be handy. The blades are reversable, which was unexepcted. The fan blades felt cheap, however never assebmled one before and they seem to work.
This was very easy to install it didnt take long at all to put up! The fan works amazing! Three light bulbs came with the fan which is a super plus. All the stuff you needed to put the fan together was there the only thing that concerns me is if you lose the remote there no way of using the fan again. I am absolutely obsessed with this new Hunter Bennett 52”Fan with light kit. I am a true believer of the Hunter brand and I am never disappointed. My old ceiling fan Was installed in 2008 and it was definitely time for on upgrade and an upgrade is what I received. My family room completely transformed in a matter of hours. The instillation process was somewhat complex. The screw to attach the fan to the ceiling was way too long and I had to improvise in order to attach it safely; the rubber for the fan blades were unattached and I found that process a bit difficult on my fingers; the attachment for the top of the fan with the base containing the lights was definitely challenging and more complex than it needed to be; and lastly if you have big hands installing the shades and the bulbs probably would not be possible. Overall there are more pros than cons and the process was more than worth it. The 52”fan just hugs my ceiling and creates a shadowing relaxing and inviting ambiance. The 3 fan setting is an excellent added bonus. It wobbles a bit and the weights included in the package fixed the issue. It only makes a little noise when in full speed. Low, medium and high (I do wish it didn't go from a mild medium to an extremely powerful high, but more cohesive), the 3 lights a very brigh and efficient in energy conservation. I am ecstatic over the transformation of my family room. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This is a very nice fan. I love the lights. And as always Hunter Fan is very quiet. I haven't been able to use it at the moment, but I know it will serve the purpose. I am not too keen on the remote. My other remotes that I had from Hunter was much better. More sturdy and the mount would fit right over the light switch. Which was just great. I did get the light to dim though. So all in all I am please with the fan and lights itself, but just not to keen with the remote.
We looked at dozens of fans before selecting this Bennett model over fans that were nearly 3 times as much money. It compliments our new decor perfectly. The fan is so quiet and we no longer have chains hanging down, the remote control takes care of that.
Awesome beautiful ceiling fan. Had hunter fan before lasted 17 years.
FINALLY got all three 52" fans installed! Beautiful, super quiet with strong airflow. Yes, the remotes have a beeping option when pressed, this is an OPTION you can turn off. However, the beep is NOT obnoxious or loud and I like it as it's audible feedback. Love the fans, but what an ordeal to install as we have 26 ft vaulted ceilings. Previous owners had cheap fans installed and dimmer switches. When we installed the Bennett fans, the motors were humming and lights flickering. I thought we were going to have to return them. However, we were able to determine that the entire issue had to do with the dimmer switches. Removed those and installed toggle switches, problem solved!
Beautiful fan, it made a beep sound when turning on or changing speeds, some people hated but I loved it is not as loud as others says. My wife love our new fan the only thing is that the lights cannot be dimmed and the glass of the lights kit is very fragile like they get scratched very easily.
I have had my eye on this fan for some time now. I'm extremely happy with how the fan looks. It was easy to assemble and hang in my family room. There is absolutely no wobble or movement to this fan when on. I would have given 5 stars but there are a few misses on this fan. - Not sure why they have wiring for duel switch when the fan itself doesn't operate that way. My light switch has no impact at all on the fan while the fan switch does. This fan purely operates with a remote (I wish there was a switch option, I now have another remove to something that can get lost with kids in the house). - The lights do not dim (if they do it is so faint you can barely tell). This seems to be an issue with fan to which Hunter posts the same fix but does not seem to work for many out of the box.
The fan will take some getting used to as our previous fan was a completely different style; one we absolutely loved. We are very disappointed in the light bulbs that came with the fan. The bulbs are way too dim to light the room. Why should we have to spend even more money to replace brand new light bulbs? And then have to hire someone to come climb the ladder to replace them because the fan hangs from a high ceiling. So disappointing.
