I have had hurrycanes for many years with no issues. The most recent one I bought a few months ago just fell apart yesterday. The whole foot section fell off. Never happened before. I have no idea how to fix it. I tried. I'm sure Hurrycane will take of it for me..
I have had my HurryCane for many years now and love it. The feet have to be replaced periodically but easily done. I recently changed to another cane that had more features but quickly returned to the HurryCane as I did not feel comfortable or safe with it. For me, the height I need is perfect and it "bends", is not stiff. It folds up nicely also.
These feet are larger, and bolt is larger holding the feet -- SO they won't fit older canes like mine. I had to buy new cane because I like it so much, and they let me keep the feet which won't fit the old cane and refunded my money - so I have extra free feet for my new cane. I'm happy.
I have had my HurryCane for 5 yrs now. It is the best cane on the market. The tri-foot gives it stability. The flexible head gives you the ability to use it anywhere on any surface. Hard floor, rug, stairs, grass, sand, rocks. It is stable no matter where you are. And when the feet wear out (which takes 2+ year) they replace easily with a Philips screwdriver.
I almost fell using my cane on a uneven and cracked area of concrete. I didn't realize that the rubber foot had worn unevenly and when the screw head touched the concrete first the cane slid forward and threw me off balance. Fortunately I didn't fall and ordered the replacement immediately.
I am on my 3rd HurryCane and would continue to use them. However, there is one flaw I have experienced. For the first few months of daily use I find that the cane will easily stand on its own by simply placing it upright. However, after that all of the ones I own will start to lose their balance when I stand it up and I find that I have to tighten up the feet often for it to stand alone. Also when the foot pods begin to wear down there is a tendency for the cane to slip unless you place it completely vertical when you lean on it. If your balance isn't so great you need to be careful.
I purchased replacement feet for my hurrycane not realizing that they only fit newer editions of the cane. I have one of the originals and evidently there are no replacements available. I guess I have to buy a new cane and it won't be a hurrycane. When I purchased it I was uder the assumption that I could buy replacement feet.
I purchased two new sets of replacement feet as the original ones wore out in two months. I don't do that much walking so I'm a bit unimpressed as to how fast they wear out. Unfortunately, two days after I replaced the worn out feet the handle on the cane broke. It's almost like they designed it to last just so long before everything breaks so you have to buy a new cane.
At first, my husband liked his cane but then he lost one of the rubber tips and was unable to use it. I bought replacement parts. He put on a new tip and then the whole thing broke off so it could not be replaced. What he needed was to replace the entire bottom, but that option wasn't available.
I'm sorry to say the replacement feet didnt work with my Hurrycane. My cane belonged to my mother so it's an older model. I'm going to buy a new cane as this one has been great and will be able to use the replacement feet on that one if the need arises.
