I heard someone used coconut oil on their baby's bottom so I was going to switch to that when I ran out of Hyland's diaper ointment. So I tried that and my baby got a terrible diaper rash! So then I switched to Desitin because I had some here. That didn't touch it. Then I tried A&D ointment and that didn't do anything for him either! I finally went back to Hyland's diaper ointment and the rash was gone in a day and a half! I mean TOTALLY GONE!!! I will never run out again!
My boys seem to be somewhat allergic to or sensitive to 'main stream' diaper ointments. This product works really well for them. It usually heals them in just one use. While it may be a little greasy it seems to absorb quickly (I even us it on my dry, cracked knuckles). I cannot recommend this product highly enough, it is amazing!
I used this ointment with my now 4 year old and am now using it with my 2 wk old. I tried other brands but this is the best!
Not very effective & has a slightly odd smell. I love that it is a natural product, but wish it was more effective.
