Love it! Slick design. So easy to move a laptop around with it attached. And of course it is functionally a dream to increase the number of ports on my new MAC.
I am a user who has purchased this type of product for the first time, and I bought it because of recommendations on the Internet. I must say that it is a very good product, but the only drawback is that it does not meet the functions I want. there has no notice of "not included USB-A PD" in this description.
I would LOVE this device more if there were two plugs (whatever you call it) than one. The chances the hub plugin might bend are high. If the Mac Hub has two plugins, why not PC Hub!
Had to put a spacer underneath the port so that it wouldnt bend to the weight of the cables plugged into the ports. Other then that it worked great. All the ports I need for a two monitor set up.
Works great except when 10mins go by and it Drains my 2018 iPad Pro's Battery from 100% to 81%...
I was not happy with this product since it didn't connect very well. Kept coming off and it wouldn't even charge the computer. Had to remove it to charge.
Bought this port expansion device and loved it for the first 2 months and then it began to lose connection with my Mac. I now have a port that is useless as the connectors have loosened and goes in and out. I am replacing with one that has a better support system or more likely a corded type. Seems this one is too heavy to simply dangle on the side of a computer
Functionality is great, design not so much. In my 13” MacBook Pro, it's unstable. A better design if it had a clamp or some other support device. I actually put something under it so it doesn't flex or disconnect. I'm concerned it is putting stress in the port.
Very disappointed with the lifespan this gave me. It only had worked for a few months maybe 3 at best which is not something I was expecting for the price paid. The main use I had purchased this for was to charge my iPhone and while it was functioning was great but that had stopped and shortly after the HDMI port had stopped as well. Very disappointed and was expecting a much higher quality product.
I've only had it a couple of weeks and my moniter keeps displaying "No Signal." I was using the same cable and display with an older MacBook and never had any issues, so I know it's the Hub. Also, last week, I could restart the computer and the display would come back on. Now, even that is an intermittent solution.
