I only towed my camper a few miles so far so can't vouch for longevity, but it got the job done perfectly for what I needed it for. I have this on a Nissan Frontier and the 2 inch drop is perfect for keeping my popup level while towing. Easy to throw in the hitch, pop in the pin and you're ready to tow, doesn't get any easier.
My husband recently bought a truck this year. We also want to get a small camper so we needed a trailer hitch. My husband said this one was very well made and he would definitely recommend it to others.
This is a solid and well-made hitch, heavy and the weld seems very well done. It should definitely make attaching and towing a trailer very easy. It is rated to tow up to 6,000 lbs which is adequate for most basic residential loads, particularly towing boats, ATV’s and moving furniture. Can’t go wrong with this.

You can tow to up 6000 lbs. on a trailer and a 600 lb. Tongue weigh. It is easy to installation and remove when need. This ball hitch is protected with a durable black powder coat finish, and the trailer ball has a polished chrome plating to. This finish helps keeps it from resisting and damage from rain, dirt, snow, road salt and other corrosive threats. Helps it last longer. This set included the hitch, a hitch pin and a pre-torqued trailer ball ready for immediate use. It is constructed from welded steel and has a hollow shank.
It is well made and gets the job done. The price point is good for the quality. Definitely a great value and I would recommend this ball mount starter kit.
This kit comes with everything you need. It has a 6000 pound gross weight and a 600 pound tongue weight. The drop on this mount is 2 inches so it is enough to lower most trailers so it doesn't ride higher in the front. The shank that fits in the vehicle mount is 2" x 2" so it should fit most vehicle trailer mounts. The starter kits also comes with a 2 inch ball. The kit also has the Pin and a cotter key. To find the pin and cotter key you need to take the tape off the end of the shank and it is inside of it. This kit comes with everything you need to use for pulling trailers and you are able to change to a different size ball if you need.
Impressed is the word that I will use to describe the Hyper Tough Ball Mount Starter Kit, 2 inch Drop, 2 inch Hitch Ball. It was super easy to install, which was a major plus! I pulled my 5x10 enclosed trailer, it towed phenomenally! Very smooth riding, no bouncing. The fit and finish was beautiful. The fit was tight. I will highly recommend it to friends and family.
This ball mount kit is well made. It looks like it has good welds to hold up under the stress of pulling a load. It fits my receiver hitch perfectly and was very easy to install. The 2" ball is the size I use the most so it will get lots of use, but changing to a different size will be easy to do as well. I previously used a hitch with a 4" drop but occasionally need a shorter drop so this will make hitching and pulling some trailers easier. I would definitely recommend this kit.
On my previous car I had owned another brand hitch and I was anxious to get one on my current vehicle. I ordered the Hyper Tough Ball Mount Starter Kit, 2 inch Drop, 2 inch Hitch Ball because it looked simple enough to use for local towing and pickup . But I agree with the other reviewers that the attached labels are a pain and they are not only glued down to the item but the print is extremely small to read whatever is important - it would be nice to have separate legible paperwork to refer to. So I just left the top label on. It does include everything you need with the pin and cotter key packed inside the taped end and with some help (in my case) it attached to my vehicle easily. My current car is stronger and hopefully I will be able to use this more than with my 4 cylinder.
Nothing like ordering a new part and then being shipped a USED part that is missing something. They literally shipped me a used Starter Kit with no cross pin or cotter. Oh, and the ball was rusted and the labels are damaged. There's more… they shipped it without any packaging, so when I went to ship it back, FedEx was going to charge me $6.50 for packaging. AVOID!!! Go to an auto parts store and buy there.
