I bought this treadmill online and received it in 4 days! (Site-to-store) It is much larger than I was expecting. Wasn't very hard to assemble, took my husband around 2 hrs. I have only ran on it 4 times so far but seems to be very good quality for the price! Nice, large, well lit screen that is very easy to read. I have not played around on it all; I have not tried to use any of the workwork out apps and I do not have an ifit card but if you're a long distance runner, this treadmill is what you're looking for! I am more than satisfied.
After doing a detailed research, I decided on this treadmill...and have now owned it for about 2 weeks. I LOVE IT!!! It is the first home treadmill I have used that doesn't do me more harm than good! I broke my ankle about 13 years ago, so other treadmills I have used caused me to limp and be in pain after running on it...NOT THIS TREADMILL!!! I run on it for about 20 minutes everyday...completely pain-free during and after the workout!!! It has plenty of workout options built in(I haven't purchased the iFit cards yet)...the speaker system is nice for my iPod. FYI: My 5, 7, and 8 yr olds also use it easily...they needed something to exercise on inside as well...to keep them from exercising their thumbs as much on video games!
I bought this treadmill after bringing home and setting up a cheaper model just to have the motor not work.. So I returned that one (Gold's Gym brand) and bought this one! I have been using it for about 6 months now and it still works great!! The platform is very cushiony and is not hard on the joints when running/jogging. The speakers have great sound quality and is easy to hook up to my Ipod/phone through a double-ended headphone jack. I have not tried the Ifit live yet, but I would like to in the future! :)
I am very well pleased overall with the treadmill. But I was unhappy with the design on the handrails. They are not high enough. For a older person like myself you need something to hold on too and I stand just 5' 6" tall and the handrails are too low. My fingertips just touch the top of the handrails. So to really grab hold of them and support myself I have to hunch over which is not good for the back. The handrails should of been about 3" taller or they should of been adjustable.
Haven't had a chance to use it much yet but seems like excellent Quality.
Only used it a few days, but works fine. Great price. $699 on line at Wal-Mart, while Amazon sent me some "deals on treadmills". They wanted $799.
When it comes to treadmills or any other workout equipment, Do not go cheap if you want it to last. I have bought the cheap or low end prize exercise equipment and as much as I workout, three to four days a week, the equipment seems to only last four to five years. I do all the preventive maintenance on the equipment but the wear and tear does not seem to keep up like the commercialized equipment in the gym. After putting together this treadmill, I noticed this badboy will last double the life of my older low end equipment or maybe even triple the life if I keep up the preventive maintenance. So from experience, this treadmill will last a good long time.
Actually this is an old model. I reserched hard to find perfect treadmill, but there was no perfect treadmill without any problem, so I just decided to buy middle price range treadmill, and I got this 3 months ago, it is very heavy and I paid $50 for shipping, but there was only 1 delivery guy, so I had to help him to bring it to home althoug it weights around 200lbs, it was terribly heavy. Delivery was not proffessional unlike Bestbuy online. Treadmill itself is not bad, but the problem is speed is not steady, it goes faster and slower a little bit, so I have to keep adjusting the speed while I am running. I don't know this is designed like this or defective. If you agree treadmill is kind of expendible, I recommend this one.
