I've only ever seen a mortar and pestle but have been wanting to try one. A lot of traditional dishes my mom would make uses this so I'm glad I was given this to try (all opinions are my own). The marble material is heavy and the item is substantial. I've used it mainly to grind up chilis and garlic but it's been easy to use. And easy to clean. Overall, I'm very pleased with this item.
I have never used a pestle and mortar before and this was a great first try. After cleaning it and following instructions, I tried it to make two things. First was crushing sesame seeds for a dish my mother in law makes. It worked so well! Helped crush them into much smaller pieces! Second, I decided to try making authentic chai. I will never go back. The size is great for what I need it for and it is so easy to use.
I received this product for free for trial however would readily pay for such a high quality product. Comes well packaged, is marble so very aesthetic, easy to clean and was very stable. With other mortar and pestles I've faced the issue where the legs aren't stable so the whole thing wobbles when grinding, but with this the bottom sits flat on the counter and does a fantastic job!
The mortar and pestle is as described. It is great for grinding peppercorns and spices. I have used it for garlic cloves as well. It is great for grinding up tablets or vitamins. Over all it can be used for such a variety of thing and is a great addition in the kitchen. The marble is beautiful and heavy. It's great quality!
I had some herbs that I purchased whole with the intent on grinding them. I tried other methods but when I used the mortar and pestle it turned it into a fine powder. I used it on baked chicken for supper and it was the best chicken I've made in a long time.
This cute mini mortar and pestle is freaking adorable. It's a gorgeous marble that fits really nicely with my kitchen decor. I want to leave it out because it's so cute (and I'm a clean counter kind of person). I have been using it to create my own italian seasoning blend. I also have used it to crush garlic, some almonds for a dish topping... the uses are endless. I do wish it was a touch bigger, but I am cooking for 1 so it's not a big deal. Buy it!!
This marble mortar and pestle is gorgeous! I love the look, size, and it has the perfect amount of weight to it. I prefer to use fresh ingredients from my garden or when that isn't an option I like to grind the spices a little to release the flavors. I love this product and highly recommend it!
As far as the uses go, that are unlimited! Since receiving mine, I have used it for almost every meal I've prepared. My family has raved about the amount of flavor in everything. It's great for smashing fresh garlic, and grinding dry herbs. There are so many uses and I have barely scratched the surface. It is the perfect size for my family of 5. Being made of marble, I will be able to use it for years.
It is a compact and durable set perfect for grinding small quantities of spices and herbs. Its sturdy marble construction ensures efficient grinding, although it may not be suitable for larger tasks due to its smaller size. To me, it's a stylish and convenient addition to any kitchen
Not new, obviously repackaged. Only the mortar was received. The pestle was not in the box! Need address to return and REFUND!!!
