We ordered the Monkey's Jungle Retreat Activity Gym on My 1st and it was delivered on May 6. Our 10-week-old girl loves it, especially the hanging monkey which she likes to try to eat! As a whole we love it and feel we made a great choice-We have spent hours playing on it with her and it also keeps her entertained for just long enough that I can sneak away to the bathroom :) I haven't tried washing the mat yet, so I can't review that, but here are the other main points. I admit they are slightly negative, but with all the gushing I could do about it I feel it's important to present the not-so-good parts too. The colors are bright, cheerful, and pretty high contrast-great for little developing eyes. The toys are very easy to hang up but equally easy to pull off; even when Evie just bats at them they can sometimes come out of the loop. The monkey and hippo toys are pretty neat but the giraffe and banana just sort of hang there- maybe when she is teething they will be a bigger hit. The little musical tiki hut with the "mirror" seems to scare her and the "mirror" is just a piece of bendy plastic with a bit of reflection, which is disappointing because it was one of the main reasons I picked this activity gym over the others we were considering. The music is ok, but there is no volume control, so if it's on it's LOUD and judging by Evie's reactions it's too loud and too jarring. The mat itself is a little plain, I was hoping it would have a little more to do (there is a crinkly banana and a teething star that hides in a pocket but that's it). We do like the tummy time pillow a lot. Evie has some pretty severe reflux and hates tummy time but when we set her up on the pillow she can tolerate it for much longer than without and even seems to enjoy it. Our pediatrician says this is a great idea but even so not to push it too much so we haven't used it as often as we could. My husband feels this is one of the best baby gear investments we've made and I have to agree. I would definitely recommend this one to friends.
I actually bought this online for my 3 month old Grandson for Xmas and had my Son and Daughter in law pick it up "Site to Store" in another state, but they told me they LOVE IT!! It is very bright and colorful with a good variety of toys and sounds for my 3 month old grandson. He is mesmerized by the bright colors and will be able to interact with the toys and sounds as he grows older. The mat is a good size so he can move around and not move off the mat. A very good product.
I am really glad I bought this play gym. I received one as a gift, but it didn't seem like my son was much interested in that one, so I thought I would try something different. I am glad I did! The colors are bright, there are lots of different textures on the play mat and the toys are great! My baby seems more interested in this mat than the other one. He especially loves the toy shaped like a banana! The only bad thing is the mirror that comes with the gym does get rather annoying after awhile. It only plays two songs, and you can change it so that when the mirror is moved or bumped, it will start playing....the songs get annoying after a while, but the lights are great and keep my baby's attention too. I thought it was a little expensive, but it was cheaper here than anywhere else! Overall, a good product and I would recommend it to anyone!
I had seen this at several different stores ranging anywhere from $50 and up. Since it had received great ratings and reviews, I wanted it for my daughter as well. I found it at Walmart for a great price. It was easy to put together. Plus it travels and stores easily as well. Definitely worth the price.
I am so glad I picked this activity mat after looking at many. I like the colors, it is very easy to put up, and my son loves it! Buying it from here was good, for I don't live in town so I was able to get it shipped to me for only 97 cents, and it was cheaper than any other website.
I thought that this was a little pricey but had read other moms reviews and thought that this was the best play gym for my son (who is two months old). It was so easy to put together (it took maybe 2 minutes) and the colors are bright and the mat is very nice. I also love the tummy time pillow. It is really a two-in-one toy because it is a tummy mat and a play gym both. Also the toys that hang down are cute and the mirror and songs are nice. I like that the two songs play for a longer amount of time and the mirror has soft flashing lights. I would recommend this to anyone. It is worth the money!
The delivery was faster than what I expected. It was easy to setup and my 3 month old baby girl was so excited with this product she played by herself for at least 20 minutes while babbling to herself. The only complain is with the part that plays the music, it was borken when we got it and I could not turn it on. Unfortunately I had throw away the receipt and packaging by the time I discovered this problem. Fortunately the toy maker replaced it for us and all is well. Overall it is a great toy and she is still excited every time we put her down on it.
very cute I purchased two for my twins over a year ago. My twins didn't care for it. They seemed bored. But I still recommend it because it was very cute and was easy to wash.
I got this toy for him at the age of 2 months. Dom loves it. He loves to swing his arms around so its perfect. Not sure if the mirror/music thing is functioning properly but he loves it regardless. Motion button works but on button doesn't.
the accessories hang low in baby's face and it is not easily stored because of the tops. Think it is a great starter mat for babies but probably could have found a better one. colors are great and characters are cute.
