[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used this to replace our ½ hp disposal and are impressed so far. Installation was quick and easy, especially because we were able to use our disposals mount. We also used the easy connect cord, which was very easy, but anyone with very basic electrical skills could connect it to a power line or plug without it. The only (slightly) hard part of the installation was that this is a larger and heavier disposal than previous ones I have installed, so I had my wife help me to twist the collar on while I held it. The unit's motor isn't a lot quieter than my old model, but it is more powerful, so that makes sense. The grinder runs more smoothly and quietly though, and the entire until feels and sounds very high quality.

Our family feels a sense of relief limiting the amount of waist on our planet using this product! Quick breakdown of food particles. Little water washes down the food waist. The 3/4 hp was plenty of torque for our family of 5. The unit is small enough to still have room under our sink. No loud obnoxious noise from the motor! Highly recommend!!!

Tools needed are very minimal and it only took about 20 minutes. The quality of this garbage disposal is second to none. It's quiet and efficient.

I bought this unit to replace a Insinkerator Model 444 that I installed 23 years ago. It had started to leak from the bottom, so it was time for a replacement and this model has the same exact dimensions and locations for the drain pipes. I reused the old sink drain flange since this model fits it perfectly and after connecting the dishwasher drain and straight pipe to the p-trap; I was off to the races. I did buy the ez connect electrical cord since Insinkerator states not to reuse the old cord (not sure why...corrosion?) and it installs in a snap compared to using wire nuts. Highly recommended.

This GD is sold as one of the top models for being quiet. It is not. The old big body top of the line models are much quieter compared to this one. Sorry insinkerator but although it might be a good disposal I wouldn't sell it as being quiet. Finish Plumber for 15 years.
False advertisement: The seller sold a used item as new. The item was advertised as new, but upon delivery, we noticed several scratches that clearly showed signs of previous use
Super expensive disposal....they do not include a simple $2 power cord.... could not use power cord from old disposal....what a cheap way to do business.....returning!!!!
