I use my new Instant Pot at least once a day rotating between making broth, soup, applesauce, various grains, and veggies! It has been well worth the purchase!
I loved my Max, but this out-does it. The pressure build-up time is fast, The built-in handles make it easier to saute (no rotation), and I no longer get burned lifting the inner pot out. The inner pot 3-ply base has changed the saute function so that it is easy to scrape loose bits of "stuck" food so no longer receive any pesky "Burn" errors. The lids store at an angle at the back (out of the way). The functions buttons and dial are easy to use in pre-programmed or custom mode. I love. love. love. this IP version.
Magnificent appliance! I use it every day. I've been a convert for a few years, now. I still have my 6 quart Duo and I still love it. But I moved up to take advantage of the larger space, for racks of rib, larger chickens and even small, whole turkeys. It heats faster, the pan doesn't spin during browning, I LOVE the autolock, because that was my one bad spot---I'd forget to set it to sealing. Now? It does it for me! A larger pot does have it's issues, but with the 6 standing by? I never have to compromise. I am definitely a two Instant Pot household.
I just received a duo evo plus 8 qt instant pot. First off, I had an 8 qt earlier model that I used quite a bit for very basic recipes. It died just over one year after purchase. I contacted the company and the response was incredible. So few companies have such confidence in their product. The response was hassle-free and quick. I was sent a newer model to replace the older one. This newer model is fantastic. It has a number of improved features and I am so grateful for the response from customer service. Thank you and I look forward to many more uses. I definitely recommend this product.
Love it! I am cooking everything from jams to lasagna! My new favorite is yogurt! Sooo good! I think I cook more in it than I do my oven! It's easier clean up too! Well worth the money and recipes are easy to find as well as just tweaking the time of my original recipes.
I have used this pot to adapt several recipes I already make such as chili and soups. I've also made Egg Bites for the first time. My granddaughter loves them. It makes breakfast so much easier for her parents. In addition, I have tried multiple recipes from your InstantPot collection such as the Pot Roast and a fish recipe. My most impressive observation has been your customer service. I had a problem with my first InstantPot. I sent in the required information and got responses to each email by the next morning. Within a week, I had a new InstantPot. Thank you for being so responsive. I didn't want to lose the momentum of learning a new way to cook by waiting and waiting. It didn't happen. I have 3 recipes on my menus for next week.
I had the 6quart Lux but wanted a larger pot I love the 8 quart duo evo One feature that I love is the self sealing valve I once in a while would forget to close the valve. I would highly recommend this unit
Worst Product Ever!!!!! First one given as a gift kept getting error message and would never change off of preheat to cook mode in water test. Spent 2 weeks back and forth with support to confirm it's not user error and get new one sent. Well today new one water test worked so I started a recipe. In middle of sautée the c8 error occurred that I'm using wrong pot?!!! I've had enough of my time and money wasted on food ingredients. Others with models that work may find it useful this is a price of trash to me!!!
This was my second instant pot of the same model and both continually gave error messages that were erroneous. When cooking chili on the recommended setting kept getting burning food warning. Another error was that the wrong inner pot was in the cooker...it was the original pot that came with it. Returned both. To be fair I bought my daughter a less expensive Instant Pot and she has had no trouble with it. This model is a nightmare.
I am on my third one. Each of them has shut down and has a C8 warning which says I'm using the wrong pan, I'm using the pan it came with. I bought two from Williams Sonoma and had one warranty shipped from your factory. All three have had the same warning. Super frustrated!
