The Instant Pot Pro Plus is a fully connected multi-cooker that lets you wirelessly operate the unit through the Instant Brands Connect app. Simply select from one of 800+ smart recipes and the app will wirelessly program the Instant Pot Pro Plus. Simply follow the cooking instructions in the app. It will tell you when it’s time to sauté your ingredients and when you should place the pressure cooking lid over the unit to slow cook your ingredients. You can also wirelessly release steam, or with the one-touch steam release button on the control panel. Program a quick or delayed steam release at the end of a cooking program too, making it easier than ever to use an Instant Pot. The 3-ply stainless steel inner cooking pot’s aluminum core offers faster, more even heating, and greater searing. It’s versatile too, meaning you can use the inner pot on your stove top or in the oven. The control panel is easy to use, and it includes status messages to guide you through various cooking programs.

I received this product for free to review. We have been interested in an Instant Pot for a while and we were so excited for this one. Our first meal in the Instant Pot Pro was a sausage and Kale Soup. After prep it took about 30 minutes to cook. When it was done the potatoes were tender and cooked to perfection. Everything about the soup was perfect. We browned the sausage right in the Instant Pot and then added the rest of the ingredients. It was super simple and super fast. Cleanup was also very easy. We're looking for many more recipes to try in this and plan to use it once or twice weekly. It is great for getting 2 meals for a busy family. This hearty soup was enjoyed twice and that is saying something for this family.
I was provided an Instant Pot Pro Plus in exchange for a review. I never bought into the Instant Pot trend. I knew a lot of people buying one and trying to convert me into getting one. I would hear the stories of meals that would take 4 hours to cook is cooked in 40 - 45 minutes. This type of cooking didn't seem real to me. It felt like some type of magic. When my Pro Plus arrived I was curious as to what I could make that would normally take me all day to cook in my slow cooker. I asked friends who had an Instant Pot and they gave me a few recipes to try out. With the weather dropping here, I decided to make a cold-weather staple in my home: Beef stew. Normally, this would take 4 - 6 hours in my slow cooker, but it took about an hour to cook with the Pro Plus. Yep, an hour. I controlled the entire cooking process from the app on my phone and it was an incredible experience. The meat was nice and tender and practically fell apart. The potatoes and carrots were soft and delicious. The entire meal was great and my family ate it all up. The only downfall about this unit is that it is going to replace my slow cooker and my rice cooker. Is that really a negative though? I'm just thinking of all the space this unit is going to save me when I put those other two items in storage. I am loving the app and marking recipes that I would love to try with my family. I think I have been converted to the church of the Instant Pot and that is a good thing.
When I received this pot I couldn't be happier. I work full time, also I'm a part-time College student so to say that I have a busy schedule is an understatement. I'm able to set the pot up in the morning leave my meal inside the pot and have it set to be ready for dinner. The ease of cooking dinner is amazing. The pot is so well made it's a kitchen must-have. If that's not enough I can completely control the cooking by my cell phone by just touching an app! Wow :-) What a deal, saves me time and when I come home I have a heathy warm meal for me and my family. Love it Thank U
Having previously owned 2 Instant Pots I knew that I would love this one. But, I was not prepared for just how fancy it is! It was SO great being able to be monitor the cooking time from elsewhere in the house so I knew what stage of the process my roast was in, and when it was finished cooking. Everything came out fantastic!! I can see I will be using this at least twice a week!
I received the Instant Pot Pro Plus and it's now my sous chef. It works with an app so NO WIRES! There are over 800+ recipes you can program using the app. It tells you when it's time to sauté and when you should place the pressure cooking lid over the unit to slow cook. If you need to release stem you can do this with a one touch button or do it through the app! You can sear and get fast even heating in the aluminum inner pot, which can also be used on your stovetop or in the oven. I never thought I'd be able to use an Instant Pot but I receive messages to guide me through various cooking programs. Seriously, if it had arms to grab the ingredients, it can cook the entire meal on its own! This is the greatest invention!
This pressure cooker exceeds expectations by not only allowing for multiple functionalities (Yogurt, Sous Vide, Slow Cooking, Steaming, Rice, Saute, and the expected Pressure Cooking) it adds convenience via Bluetooth technology. In my opinion, this, coupled with the easily removable cook-to-serve bowl, are the added features that set the Pro Max apart from any other model on the market by negating the need to carry the entire appliance to the table or serve from the counter. For savvy technology users, installing the free app is simple. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone or iPad, click the wifi button on the cooker, link to the appliance, then use the app to control your cooker from anywhere in or outside your home. I was able to prepare the ingredients, close the cooker and go about my day starting the cooking process remotely from my driveway. Additionally, the app allows you to monitor the warming time, cooking time, and release time which uses to require consistent monitoring of the appliance -not anymore. Perhaps my favorite feature is the Manual Venting which allows me to choose between natural (pressure releases on its own), quick (the rapid release we're familiar with), and a new feature pulse release (which releases in bursts). I used the pulse release feature when making a stew, there was a noticeable increase in the depth of the flavor. Side note: the app also allows you to toggle between the options should you get inpatient. Additionally, thousands of recipes are available via the Instant Brands app (hello Crack Chicken) coupled with a favorites feature that allows you to save your recipes of interest (see photos below). Lastly, the LED screen is just beautiful providing an illuminated sleek, modern look that you won't mind sitting on your countertop. Although these new features might not be for everyone, the tech-savvy cook will quickly appreciate the flexibility and added convenience the Pro Max provides.
I was excited to receive this new Instant Pot, my old one was several years old and is clearly outdated, you will soon read why. Outdated because this new Instant Pot has 10 cooking features, and an App that lets you start cooking from your phone! Now I have an all in one: pressure cooker, slow cooker, canning option, yogurt maker, and what I am most excited about, the Sous Vide cooking feature! This is the perfect gift for all the cooks on your holiday cooking list, the best Instant Pot, the Pro Plus!
I'm absolutely in love with the updates that are available on the new Instant Pot Pro Plus, from the seal on the vent hood, to the handles on the liner pot and the wifi control. Not only can I make the meals I am used to making in it, but make the changes I need from the other room. With sous vide and canning as options, this is an amazing addition to my kitchen.
Do not buy 3rd party - seller advertised as new, bought as a wedding gift, arrived 1 day late and then imagine my surprise receiving a mangled box with a previously USED item; remnants of food and stains still inside. Oops the seller says they "forgot" to mark it refuribished. It was unclean with food stuck on it and for waisting my time, ruining the wedding gift they offered $15 credit. They should be ashamed of themselbves and walmart should remove them.
The Instant Pot is great; however I purchased it under the belief I could control the pot's functions over WiFi via Instant Pot's app. Sadly, this is not really true unless you are using one of their app's recipes. Having owned an Instant Pot from nearly the very beginning, I've created lots of great recipes my family loves. (This isn't very easy because I have a staunch vegan, a bodybuilder, and a diabetic comfort food junkie I'm chef a la Momma for, lol!) I hoped to be able to remotely control my Instant Pot via WiFi for all my recipes if I should want. What I was ultimately hoping for was to be able to upload my favorite recipes to the app and take advantage of both the recipe storage/search feature and the WiFi control over my new Instant Pot. Seriously, how difficult would it be to allow uploads to the app? Just think of how many great recipes we'd have to share! I primarily just use the pressure function—how hard is it to have a “remote control” in the app to basically toggle “on/off” functions? Although there are some really nice improvements to this instant pot, really disappointed as the description glossed over what it's true capabilities with the app over Wi-Fi are.
