So far our two daughters enjoy riding while my husband and I get our exercise. Very secure and we love that it folds for easy storage. one recommendation is to buy a mirror just to keep an eye on the little ones.
This trailer is a great value. I used site-to-store for free shipping and it took about a week to get delivered. Assembly is easy, no tools required for the trailer itself, you will need a wrench to attatch the coupler to your bike, but that is also easy. The only other thing you need is an air pump or compressor to air up the tires and your all set to go. The wheels all have a quick release to install or remove. The sides fold down flat easily. The cover snaps into place quickly, has a mesh screen on the front, and a plastic rain cover that rolls up and is help in place by straps. There is storage room in the rear, which gets covered up by the trailer cover. The handle and 3rd wheel installs/removes very easily. The only complaint I could have, is the clips on the shoulder straps are difficult to clip and unclip, however, I dont mind, because my child wont be able to unclip them on his own. I would definitely recommend this trailer to anyone looking for one, and at this price, its the only one I have found that has the handle and 3rd wheel. I ordered a 2nd coupler to add to my wifes bike, so we can use it on either bike and dont have to use tools to switch. It was 12.99 at www.instep.net.
Bought for wife's birthday so she could take both our children on bike ride--opposed to just one in bike seat. She could not tell it was connected to the bike until going up hill with the added weight. I use the trailer as a runner. Easily disconnects and wheel pops right on. Very controllable with two children inside. I don't ever comment on these things, but this has been such a good purchase for both my wife and me.
Great buy if you're looking for a reasonably priced bike trailer. So far have used it as a stroller & it is a smooth ride, even with a 5 month old strapped in. If removeable handlebar was a little longer it would be perfect, I sometimes kick the back of the seat as I am walking. Easy to put together as well!
This trailer is very useful. I have used it numerous times in trailer mode with my thre-year-old. She realy enjoys rideing with her Dad. This trailer allows me to ride ten to fifteen miles and still spend time with my daughter. My wife and I have also used it in stroller mode with both my three-year-old and a seven-month-old. I chose this trailer for this stoler option and am verry glad I did. The only complaint I have is the straps are not real user friendly but still do the job. Also the stroler handle is a not extremly stable. But maybe I am expecting to much from a removeable handle.
Product is exactly what I expected. It is a little heavier than the Burley trailer but I am still able to carry my 2 year old who weighs 31 pounds and my 4 month old that weighs 15 pounds with no problem. For the cost it works great.
I wasn't sure what to expect since there were some mixed reviews, but it is great =) The seat has an adjustment to pull it up off the bottom of the trailer a bit and give more support for the kids, which is perfect! No complaints from my 3 yr. old and 1 year old (and believe me, if there were any complaints to be had I'd be hearing them!). The hook-up's pretty simple (although the instructions skip an important step when looking at the quick-release bike installation). We transfer the trailer between my husband's mountain bike and my cruiser and neither of us have had any problems adjusting to the added width or weight =) Definitely glad we went with this one instead of the slightly cheaper one!
Easy to assemble, took about 5 minutes without tools. Hookup to bike is a little hard due to the clip retainer is stiff. Seat is decent but it would be better to have some separation in the center to prevent the kids from gravitating to the center. I have a 21 lb girl, 37 lb boy and they fit (but a little on the tight side). I don't think 2 kids will fit comfortably if they where above 35 lb. The seat belt system is annoying and hard to unleash - hook and ring - wish it was the snap system. The front mesh is good but gravel/dirt WILL fly into the trailer from your rear tire so you have to use the clear front panel. This may limit air circulation a bit during hot days. Would be nice to have side or top ventilation. I wished it had more sun coverage on top and maybe a flap to cover the top of the front when needed. My kids love to ride in it and it is very stable. I will keep and maybe change out the seat belt system. If that is too complicated, it maybe worth it to buy a more expensive one with the snap together seatbelts. Haven't really tried the stroller function but indoors it seems easy to push and control.
I love this trailer! it really does meet my needs. It was REALLY easy to assemble. Well written directions too. My 2 1/2 year old LOVES to ride in it. There is plenty of room for her and all her sand toys in the main compartment and we take her scooter in the under side pocket. When my 5 year old isn't riding her bike she rides in the trailer too. She's super tall (the average hight of a 1st grader) so it's a little short on leg room for her when they are both in there, but it gets the job done. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I do wish the front wheel could just be flipped up while riding and flipped down to convert to stroller mode. Instead it has to be removed. (easily done though) I do also wish the front whele were closer to the main part of the trailer. The bar that attatches the trailer to the bike/front stroller wheel is a little long in stroller mode. Over all it's great and really is an INCREDIBLE VALUE!!!! Totally worth the price!
I found this children's trailer to meet my high standards of quality and value. My son loves riding in it and it pull well with no issues. The only down side is you do need a long rear fender otherwise you will fling dirt back into you childs little face.
