Chris Morgan, a screenwriter for "The Fast and the Furious" franchise, created this crime drama that focuses on Los Angeles detective Ryan Lopez (Ramon Rodriguez), a member of the city's Gang Task Force who tries to hide his allegiance to Javier Acosta (Cliff Curtis), the underworld kingpin who secretly put him through the police academy. It's a balancing act fraught with peril as neither Ryan's law-and-order circle, including his street-savvy, veteran partner, Cassius Green (RZA), his no-nonsense boss, Sam Chapel (Terry O'Quinn), and his daughter, ADA Jessica Chapel (Shantel VanSanten), nor his Los Angelicos "family," such as Javier's sons, straight-arrow banker Daniel (Jay Hernandez) and hotheaded gang lieutenant Carlos (Rey Gallegos), will tolerate the slightest hint of betrayal.
