I bought this cymbal for the Ion Pro Session Drum set that I got from Costco. It works better as a crash pad than the two original cymbal pads that came with the set. One problem is that it comes with 3.5mm (Mini) connector at the bottom of the pad. The 3.5mm-to-1/4 connector is too long to fit underneath the pad with the input cable. I've to buy a Mini-to-Mini extension cable in order to avoid this problem. Overall, it works perfectly in term of sound.
Expansion pads work just as good and two pads costs as much as the price of 1 cymbal...
