[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, so amazing! Aside from the fact that I received this for free from Roomba through BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review, it would still be worth every penny. Thank you Roomba!! I thought it was silly for a smaller home like mine (about 1350 sq. ft.) to use a Roomba to sweep and mop. I have carpet and tile, a few runners and rugs-even on the carpet, and a gigantic living room rug and was worried about the lighter rugs getting caught by the Roomba but this was not the case. "Alfred", the name we gave Roomba (a fun feature), was even able to vacuum my bath rug! This doesn't mean that the suction was not good, it works very well and has a powerful suction, dare I say better than my high end stick vac. I have only had Alfred mop once with tap water but it was impressive as well. I am excited to mop with an approved solution soon. The switch from tile to carpet is seamless. The setup was pretty simple out of the box. I had to get yet another app on my phone, seems like everything needs one these days but the directions in the box and on the app are easy to follow. They indicated that there was a certain amount of space needed around Alfred's home base (which was surprisingly large to me) but as you can see from my picture I do not have it with much space on the sides, I just can't spare it, and I haven't had an issue with it. I have had an issue with Alfred seeming to go in circles or get stuck in a certain area, I then turned the light on in the room and he was able to find his way out. I'm not sure if that is common but it was dark and I recalled when he was doing the initial mapping of the house the directions recommended turning lights on. He may just need to do tasks multiple times to really get the lay of the land. This one issue was not enough for me to drop a star because overall this robot is a dream! From someone who actually loves cleaning but despises mopping, if you can afford to buy this and think it will be useful, I highly recommend!
Absolutely love the J9. This is our 4th roomba and is by far the most efficient and effective. Maps beautifully.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am extremely excited that I received the Roomba Combo j9+ Auto-Fill Robot Vacuum and Mop from Bzzagent to test. The Roomba is well made and has an easy set up. I downloaded the app, set up my account and connected to WiFi with no issues. The Roomba does not come with a remote, the app does it all. When doing your first clean, the Roomba is mapping out the area, this process has the machine moving all over repeating itself and when finished, the map of the area is on the app. You can label the different rooms it mapped out as well. The machine was able to locate the base each time it was finished. The suction worked really well especially having dog hair everywhere and when the machine docked it would self empty, that is so worth it and very cool to see. The app is self explanatory and easy to navigate. The Roomba comes with a couple of extra accessories, I've attached pictures. The machine is big that has nice appearance. The only thing I'm looking into is the play button on the docking station and how it works, when I press it nothing happens. I think it needs to be reset but honestly I won't be using it as long as my app controls the Roomba, that's how I will control it, see history and schedule my cleanings. Always looking for new technology/ gadgets and this is an awesome find. I definitely recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Roomba Combo J9+ Robot Vacuum and Mop is one of the best I've ever used. It has an excellent user interface, navigation, and of course, cleaning ability. Whether you are aging in place or you are running a household with five kids and a dog, you can customize the versatile Roomba j9+ to suit your needs. The Roomba Combo J9+ Robot Vacuum and Mop quietly labors away and rarely requires attention beyond emptying the bin and refilling the water tank. It actually does what you'd want a robot vacuum to do, and it does it with style. It cleans the floor well and is very easy to set up and use. The Roomba Combo J9+ Robot Vacuum and Mop unit is powerful enough to suck up anything that's likely to be on your floor, and it changes suction strength based on whether it's on a hard floor or a carpet. The machine's sensors even identify areas that are particularly dirty and it gives them a second pass. It also covers as much of your floor as possible for a round object. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a Roomba.
I use my robot to clean and mop my house daily. I love that it vacuums and mops the wood floors and also vacuums the room that has carpet. It's very efficient at cleaning; much better than the older robots I've had. The only thing I'm not happy about with this robot is that it does not go back to the base to refill the water when needed. It fills the water when it starts but that is the only time.
I use this Roomba Combo to vacuum the living room and hallway wall to wall carpet and to vacuum/mop our hardwood floors throughout the rest of the house. It does well on the hardwood floors but not as well on the carpet. The carpet has a very low profile and tight weave. Although this is the Roomba with the strongest suction, and I have it set on the strongest level, it does not vacuum as well as my upright vacuum. However, due to medical issues irritated by manually vacuuming, I will continue to use the Roomba to avoid using my regular vacuum cleaner.
I love the Roomba, it's the best one yet, the 3 versions before it, are,, let's just say this new one , all in one, knocks the others out of the park. Problem: it initially cleans with a full charge, once it needs to recharge, it goes back to docking station for 10 minutes (Honest, 10 minutes), goes back out to continue and can only run for 5 minutes before it almost dies, goes back to recharge, 10 minutes later, out she goes to clean for another whopping 5 minutes and goes back in to recharge. This keeps going forever. After 4 ten minute recharges, with 5 minutes of cleaning each time l, I said " End it". It still wanted to go back out, it clearly wasn't done. Wouldn't it make more sense to fully recharge the first time it comes in when needing a change. It could clearly clean my house on 2 full charges. This is crazy. That's my only downfall, I love the machine, and it flips into the mop easily and mops so much better than previous editions. Clean up the app. Please????
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free as part of the BzzAgent program. Thank you Roomba for the free Roomba Combo j9+ Auto-Fill Robot Vacuum and Mop! This review is my honest thoughts and experiences with the product. I have had this Roomba in my home now for a little over a month. Putting the combo vacuum and mop together was very easy. This machine has some weight to it! The charging base is a good size and has a door that opens and you can store your extra parts on the door. I like this feature, so I don't have to find a new spot to keep the items and worry about forgetting where I put them. It was easy to download the app that you need to use with the vacuum/mop combo. Directions were easy to follow on the app. Once the unit charged I was able to use the app to tell the Roomba to map out my home. Everything was going well until the battery went so low the Roomba had to go back to the home base to charge. It did not finish mapping out my home. I have just under 2500 sq. ft. Charging takes so long that the pending job in the app with cancel out the job, so the mapping of my home did not get finished in one job. I had to run an entire different mapping job and the Roomba has only done part of the mapping of the job. It keeps skipping the mapping of the master bathroom, main bathroom and the third bedroom. I've tried multiple times and it just won't map these areas? Also due to the fact the first mapping run did not do the whole house and I had to split it up into two jobs I can't just set up a cleaning job for "whole house" because I now have two separate maps. I have tried running the Roomba to clean my home in one day and it is not possible. I'm guessing 2500 sq. ft. is too big!? The time it takes to charge in between jobs it's a two day event running the Roomba. This is where I get annoyed, because I can use my plug in vacuum and a mop and have all 2500 sq. ft. finished in about 30 minutes. Personally, I would not purchase this over a vacuum and mop.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Roomba j9+ for free in exchange of a honest review, so let's go! First, the packaging is perfect. My Roomba arrived tightly packed so even if it was dropped off a high building I doubt it would budge much. Opening it up felt very high in and really set my expectations high. Like most vacuum robots, there is an app that you have to download to setup your machine. Yes, another app, but it's actually pretty user friendly and fun to play around on. From unboxing to actually running took about five minutes, but I recommend giving it an hour+ so your robot has a full charge. The first few times you run the vacuum it will take a virtual map of your home to learn the space. There is an option to have the camera document issues so you can then tell the vacuum if that's something they should maneuver around or go over. In my mind, that's leaps and bounds above the rest. The vacuum is fairly quiet compared to other models I've had so I could definitely sit back and watch tv while little guy was putting in the work. It worked around my kitchen chairs with ease and actually did a great job at getting the little puppy hairs that stick to the bottom of the chair legs. Now I'm sure you're thinking wow, it sounds amazing why are you giving it three stars? Listen, if I didn't receive this vacuum for free I would be returning it. Why? It's unable to maneuver from hardwoods to rugs without leaving piles of debris behind. I noticed it happen and thought maybe it would grab it on his way back down the hall. Nope, in fact it left more piles. It seemed like every time the vacuum went from one flooring type to another it would leave behind something for me to clean up. Even when it was docked, it left behind a mess underneath it. I feel like I have to vacuum before I let this guy free and if that's the case, what's the point? The mop feature is super interesting, but mine missed the mark on that as well. Inconsistency like this shouldn't be in a machine this pricey.
The product does not work half the time. I keep getting error notices, always asking to reboot etc, the compartment door does not lock, .......
