I enjoyed watching the pilot and first few episodes of this series. Upon further research I found there is no volume two for the first season. If I had known this in the begining, I would not have purchased this. Hopefully, it will be released some time soon. The picture quality of the dvd is awesome, and the sound is great, too.
What I received consisted of one DVD described as DVD 1 which implies there should have been more than one. It contained the pilot for the series and two episodes. The plots are interesting but the characterization is very undeveloped and cliche follows cliche. The music even sounds like an early version of the music for the later Streets of San Francisco. The series is a window into the late sixties, though, and of course there is San Francisco footage. There are no subtitles or closed captions. In spite of the many weaknesses, I will probably be purchasing additional Ironside DVDs but would only recommend this one as an inexpensive introduction to the series.
Didn't like this. Won't order anymore.
