Saw the cans advertised on the Jack Links site and it was available at Walmart. Asked my wife to get some next time she went to the store. She got the original flavor with no beans so we could make chili dogs which our son likes. He is a picky eater but said he liked this chili dog and I made one and agree it was good. If flavor is very familiar if you have had JLs beef jerky or meat snacks. This was nice as the beef in this chili has flavor and doesn't get drowned by the brown gravy. Looking forward to trying the other flavors now.
I was so surprised by the ingredients I forgot to leave a review for the Original no bean so I will leave both reviews for bean and no bean and wow they are absolutely amazing!
This was awesome. I made a chili cheese dip for a party and it was the first appetizer that was finished. I will definitely make it again.
Great job Jack Link's. This is the best canned Chili I've had in a very long time. It's not over powered with a lot of beans. And the meat is awesome. Texture is so so much better than other chili's. It's like chewing on little chunks of good grade hamburger. Now I did put 1 Tablespoon of sugar in mine. Only to cut down on the acidity on account of my stomach. I will definitely be purchasing again. 2 Thumbs up. This here is some really good chili. :-)
I'm not a burn your face off hot pepper kinda guy so I was a bit hesitant but OMG this was jalapeno heat perfection definitely heat but upfront instead of lingering.
I was hesitant about purchasing because most if not all of canned chili has garbage ingredients, until I read the Jack Links and I ended up buying all of them and I will leave reviews for each one
I eat a good bit of chili. and jack links did not hit the mark. its very much like a baby food paste consistency, with a chewed up and spit out beef jerky stick flavor. I much prefer the wendys canned chili with some added hot sauce sometimes. I hate to be harsh, but great value chili has a better consistency than this chili did.
This chili is the worst chili I have ever had. If you like the after taste of beef jerky in chili form, then you'll like this. Trust me, dont waste your money.
I'm sure whoever keeps giving this five stars works for Jack Links. This stuff is NASTY. All you can taste is WAY too much fake smoke flavor. I mean it's truly excessive. That is all you can taste. It will make you vomit. If you make the mistake of buying it, mix one or two other soups with it to make it palatable. It will still be way too much flavoring but at least you're less likely to hurl. I recommend Dinty Moore beef stew, because it's a big can with some complementary flavor. Obviously I will never be buying this again, but I don't like throwing things out. I'd rate zero stars if I could because this dang thing was literally the only brand of chili available on the website at the time of purchase (which is in itself unacceptable - this is Walmart!) and it was grossly overpriced.
This can of chili was one of the worst things I've ever eaten. I bought the pepper to have a little bit of spice. The only thing I could taste was pepper. It's like they mixed a little bit of meat and beans with a full can of pepper. I almost threw it out it was so spicy. I have a higher tolerance when it comes to spicy foods too. To say the consistency was disgusting is an understatement as well. As you can see from my picture, it looks nothing the image on the can. I would sum the consistency up to that of dog food. So, if you're looking for spicy dog food, go for the pepper chili. Otherwise, steer clear and save yourself an upset stomach.
