I have not actually used the dyes yet but it was the only packaged deal I could find that included the soda ash and four basic colors for dyeing cotton fabric for quilting. This is an excellent starter package for someone who has never dyed fabric before. Wal-Mart had the best price I could find.
Great way to get started for ice dying

this is a great kit for someone who already knows how to tie dye. I will purchase again
My first use of this product went very well. I used it outdoors as a precaution but had no trouble with accidental staining. The dye produced very even results. My only concern is that, after multiple rinsing and use of Synthrapol, I continued to have residual dye in the rinse water. After about 10 rinses, I continued with drying. I am hopeful that I won't have further bleeding when the fabric is used in my next quilt project. Next time I will also use dye fixative.
