Great starter guitar... must get set-up to play!

This is a nice start in the world of acoustic/electric guitars, but here is the main thing. IT MUST BE SET UP PROPERLY! If you are a beginner, you must take your new guitar to a music store that can set up your new guitar so it is playable. It'll cost between $30 to $50 to have this done. New strings are usually included in a new set-up, and if you are a beginner I suggest you have the lightest gauge strings (9 gauge or 10 gauge) put on. The luthier, or guitar repair person should also include a neck adjustment if necessary and setting the "action" (or string height) to make it comfortable for you to play. When starting, your fingers may get sore from fretting the strings, but in short time your fingers will strengthen and there will be much less discomfort. If you find it intolerable there are products you can wear on your fingertips until your fingers acclimate.
