It's a boombox speaker, it's a Bluetooth phone extender, it's slightly waterproof, and the battery lasts a long time! Range is about 30 feet, usual for most Bluetooth devices. And it can join other flip4s for that real concert effect. I upgraded from the Go 3 which was the best little speaker you can buy. That makes this one better.

Great Sound. Love, love it. It has high price sound without paying the high price. I have charged it once and I have used it going on 3 days for about 6 hours a day and it still has almost a full charge. Very satisfied with this purchase. Thinking about buying my granddaughter one.
I was absolutely pleased with this product and I think it will last me a long time ,it got here in a timely fashion, very pleased.
I realy like this speaker. The JBL FLIP 4...It has AWSOME BASS!...BUT, The only thing I don’t like about it is, IT DOES NOT HAVE A BACK BUTTON FOR REPEATING A SONG. which I would have loved. It is a little heavy. And I hope the USB holds out in this one. I’ve had 2 different speakers prior to this one and the USB messed up...I would give it a 5 star rating just because of the sound, but it should have a back button.
Speaker has good sound quality but the battery does not last very long. Probably 3 hours tops of continuous play. Not the speaker you'd want to take cabrewing but good for a quick cleaning job.
It's Fake!! I received a fake JBL flip5 when I ordered a flip4 for a Christmas gift. Trying to figure out why sound quality was poor, turns out the "M" button instead of Bluetooth button, Flip spelt FL1P5 and not having an orange power cord port means it's fake. I want my $$ back!!
I have had this JBL FLIP 4 waterproof speaker less than 30 days now and haven't used it more than 4-5 times. Last night I disconnected my Bluetooth and the speaker in order for someone else to connect and use the speaker for their playlist. It connected briefly to the other cell and then lost the discovery and the connection of the JBL speaker. After attempting to rediscover the speaker on my phone, researching online for a hard reset, and multiple times to rediscover the Bluetooth connection on my cell, I finally gave up. My fingertips are literally sore and tender from applying pressure to the buttons to reset the speaker. It never was discoverable subsequently on my Samsung phone- and my phone was upgraded in May 2022, it was also not discoverable on the other person's cell phone after all this either. That other phone was a Samsung S9, older, but her own, older, cheaper portable speaker connected without issue. I am embarrassed and disappointed in this device and this morning after contacting customer service support, the only other advice I received was to push the BT button simultaneously with the plus button, instead of the play button- in order to perform a hard reset. This also did not work. I am disappointed in the product entirely and I am so glad it is still under warranty. I purchased it on Black Friday from Walmart online and I will be returning this device today. Would I recommend this product? Absolutely not. Instead, invest in a more reliable, albeit more expensive device and save yourself the stress and the headache of attempting to use a subpar device from a subpar company.
Terrible range and volume, weak if any bass, still uses micro USB. My mom got one for $18 with 4x the range and easily 2x the volume, better bass and USB type-c quick charge...
