[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been extremely impressed with this speaker since I got it in the mail! Compared to my JBL Charge 2 it's frequency response is significantly better, and this little thing can get LOUD. Great highs and mids, the lows are a bit lacking but that can expected since the diameter holds it back, but all in all this is a powerhouse little portable speaker. We take it on hikes, I hang it off my backpack from it's convenient little strap, and it fills the forest with sound. Love that it's water proof as well, perfect to take on the river or the creek. Absolutely blown away! My new favorite portable for sure!

This speaker is also user-friendly however I wish it could connect to speakers like the JBL Charge. Regardless this speaker is definitely a good buy.

It was shockingly loud, with solid build quality and the packaging and design of the product being from recycled material just makes you feel good about it. I couldn’t believe the put out this speaks has. It was incredibly loud and more than loud enough to get the party rolling in my backyard and front yard depending on where we were. What might be extremely important to note, my wife usually hates when I am auditioning something new, and she’s never impressed. This time around she was extremely happy, and pleased. She sat with me for an hour and jammed out. She wanted to chose the songs and hear how they sounded on it. She thoroughly enjoyed it. Connectivity is very good and quick, and the battery lasts a very long time. The build quality is really impressive!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned JBL portable speakers since the first Flip came out. I was impressed with the first edition and even more impressed with the Flip 5. Out of the box until fully cranking out tunes? Less than 2 minutes. Very easily pairs with my Galaxy S10 with no "bluetooth lag". The sound quality, both bass and treble, is outstanding. Turned it to maximum volume with a bass heavy song and no distortion. Tried it out with several different styles of music and it is consistently great. Also very clear for podcasts. It is water resistant as advertised. I put it in a sink fully submerged for 20 minutes and it worked just fine after. The speaker itself is light, but solidly built. I paired it with my Flip 4 and they sound great together. A full charge will last about 4-5 hours at moderate/heavy volume. I will be a JBL Flip owner as long as they keep making them so good!

The Flip 5 fills the gap, while providing all day battery life. The bass is solid, even in open areas like the beach and backyard. You can see the bass response on the unit's sides too, adding a nice visual stimulus.

Product: I was excited to find out that this product was made with 90% recycled plastic. I have several JBL Bluetooth speakers similar to this one but this has a slight new look, very light weight this speaker can be taken anywhere. Experience: I read that this product had a waterproof design - and I tested it out at my pool - I was able to move it to different areas around the pool including close to the waterfall where it was constantly getting splashed with water. The batterie is long lasting. Sound: This speaker has great crisp sound with allot of base. I recommend this speaker it is a great product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an older Logitech PureFi Anywhere 2 that has incredible sound for it’s size. I’ve been comparing other speakers to it and haven’t been able to find one good enough to replace it. Enter the Flip 5. It looks great; in line with JBL’s other Bluetooth speakers. When I first got ahold of it, I was surprised at the heft of it. Good speakers need decent sized magnets, and there aren’t many ways around that, regardless of use. I was immediately blown away with this little thing. I didn’t expect such clarity and volume from a speaker this size. The bass is actually better then my Logitech. All I can say is that this is our new vacation/beach/pool/whatever speaker. It rocks!!

Good sound and battery life, using it all the time! Not impressed with the 'eco' packing, another green wash attempt... It came in a polystyrene box, a bit more information about the recycled plastic and 'eco' packing would be good.
Speaker blew out on 6 day listening to music at higher level for half hour at a time. Didn't last long at all
