It actually links to Google play wirelessly. I haven't figured out how the whole light patterns work completely yet but its pretty neat. The sound is good and goes loud and clear. I havent challenged the battery but it does seem to last a few hours. And it does have an audio jack just in case absolutely nothing links wirelessly. I say get one.
I got this speaker for my birthday,I actually wanted the beats by dre speaker. I got this one instead it is way, way, way better than I ever imagined. You can download the app and control the lighting, and design it is loud and the battery lasts forever. I couldn't ask for a better accessory for my gizmos!
I bought this speaker a few days ago. Its sound is amazing and so are the light effects. Just like the other person here, I tought it was a shame it only has an app for apple products. But now I just found out here, there will be an android app! What can I say? That's amazing service from JBL. I love it :) Thank for listening to us android users, we'll keep listening to our music with JBL!
I wish they made a bigger version of the pulse, like a pulse plus plus. Light show is great misis sound is good for the size. Jbl: three things 1 make a bigger one 2 add a point to it so it can be hung up 3 make them so you can buy multiple and sync them together
I never opened the package, so I am sure it is a fine speaker, but we never used it.
Bought the pulse at the airport last weekend. The unit can really play loud but I don't always want it loud. I like background music like seascapes, guitar etc. The units volume won't go low enough. Called support and I am returning it. I am told the flip2 has better low range. I am going to visit local stores maybe demo them. JBL I would suggest adding software feature to allow better volume control on low side. Maybe an application switch that changes from indoor to outdoor use where you want it louder outside.
The speaker has a good sound, the lighting effects are fun, the charging and micro charge is HORRIBLE, I have had to return twice, the charging port is terribly designed the wire does not lock in place and if you don't get it just right in place it does not charge, you have to fiddle around with the wire, make all these weird alterations to get it to stay in place and charge.. Ugh 3 x no charm. But the speaker is nice.
I've been to Beyond Innovation Service Center (Philippines)- I was charged with Php 700 pesos for diagnosis fee. only to tell you that they could no longer repair your JBL Pulse since it no longer have any parts available in the market / main manufacturer. Dont ever buy this product it busted out after just 1 year and 7months, even with very careful handling and maintenance.
These issues happen whether the device is charged and connected via bluetooth or plugged into a power outlet. Via bluetooth it connects and plays music for about a minute, and then the speaker powers off. Plugging the USB cord into the macbook - no device detects under sound settings under either usb port
Received it as a Christmas gift, it hasn't even been 3 months later and the speaker randomly turns off. Whenever I check, it is fully charged but while playing music it just says "Power Off" and I can't figure out why. Extremely disappointed in this product. I wish they would make higher quality products.
