I read a little before buying this for my kid. We bought a couple of cheapies and they were just that...not loud and the sound quality was horrible. I read on these JBLs and they had a line of these over the years, this to me seemed like the best bang for your buck with quality. It is very nice and stable. I have not heard it shake or rattle when turning it up. We listened to a Harry Potter audiobook in our living room and it was PLENTY loud...we didn't even turn it up all the way. Our living room is 20x20 to give you a picture of the size of room it fills. It sounded good and had full sound all the way across the room...(I tested it with some music too) (My kids said they could hear it in the other room also) Small detail to remember if you get this is about the volume. Our IPod (60gb classic I think) has it's own volume and the JBL speaker system also has it's own volume. The remote only worked for controlling our IPod. So I recommend you turn the IPod down and turn the JBL system up to about 60-70% 1st . Then your remote should work as desired. :)
We purchased this based on reviews. I couldn't be happier. It has a great sound, and is perfect for ipod touch amplification. The battery option makes it portable. It is a great product. Remote works well. My daughter loves it! It is really a great quality product at a very reasonable price.
I bought this for my son in college who has a first-generation ipod. The sound is absolutely fabulous! The remote already has a battery in it and there were no problems getting it to work. He is so pleased that it is a JBL, and frankly I am shocked at the great price that I paid for it. You will not be disappointed in the least.
This docking product was for Ipod but said it had adapter for any MP3 player so I purchased, and I am very please. Beautiful sound quality, the volume is good for my living space. Love it. JBL makes great speakers and is why I purchased this, based on of the JBL name. It works well with my MP3 although I will work at getting an Ipod to use with it. Great Quality Great Value!
I bought this to charge my iPhone 4 and to play music. The sound from this disc shaped device is superb! Nifty little remote control works well but hard to read in the dark. A great recharging dock too! I am very happy with the sharp design and functionality of this product.
This is one of the best sounds you can get out of such a small footprint. You won't believe your ears. After hearing it we purchased two more to leave at the different houses.
Product exceeds my sound expectations and pretty much does what the advertisement says it will do. The only problem encoutered was the remote control is not fully functional! Over-all it's a great product.
The JBL On Stage IIIP has a decent sound but could use a woover for better bass. The remote is So/So wish that there was a manual volume and song selection control on the unit itself. Not bad for the price but for serious listeners spend a little more.
Sound is great compared to the size of the system. Nice, full sound with a decent amount of bass. Comes with a ton of adapter plates to fit different Apple products but iPhones with cases may have a problem fitting with the plate on. I simply took the plate off and my iPhone 4 worked fine. Plug is a brick, but it's shaped so that it won't take up more than one outlet space. I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others.
Great product, fantastic value. Fantastic docking station. My only gripe is the the lack of bass, however, it still works very well and is one of the best small docking stations on the market. Don't buy this if you are looking for the best sound, but if you an iPod dock with good quality sound from a quality company like JBL, I highly recommend this product.
