As with any JBL audio product my expectations were understandably high when I began to listen to these headphones. Honestly, they did not disappoint. The clarity of the audio throughout the sound range was phenomenal. Highs to lows and everything in between. An item worth having that looks every bit as good as it sounds. I am a very serious gamer, and I was looking for some amazing, surround-sound headphones. When I bought the JBL QUANTUM 600's I knew I hit the nail on the head. First, the surround-sound, and the mic/audio which is amazing. next, the durability and comfort. Very durable for gaming headphones, and the comfort is great.. lastly, the features. First, let's talk about the surround-sound feature. When you put the JBL QUANTUM 600's on and start playing games with them, it's as if you are in a completely different world. The JBL team did an amazing job on the surround-sound feature. it literally puts you into the world of the game you're playing. i play games like, Fortnite, COD series, Assassins creed, and Minecraft. I can't tell you how awesome these headphones are with gaming. The mic/audio is also amazing. The flip mic feature is amazing, and all it takes is an instant, and I have myself on mute. I stream my games on Discord/Youtube/Twitch.tv and my mic is very clear and I can be heard very well by my viewers. when i play with other people i hear them super clear, being that the sound quality is great. although i have problems with the certification on Discord, and the QUANTUM ENGINE, overall, great surround-sound and audio/mic. Next, the durability and comfort. The durability is very good for gaming headphones, being that i fondly switch to different consoles and PC's. The setup takes seconds, so these are the go-to durability headphones. The comfort is great. The cushioning around the ear makes the experience of the headphones amazing. although the headphones in general are a little heavy, the cushioning around the ear, and by the headband are very comfortable. Lastly, the features all around the JBL QUANTUM 600's. one of the best features, is the setting that lets you hear the chat over the game, or the game over the chat. Extremely useful. I am on discord a TON, and that setting is just great. Probably the icon of the JBL QUANTUM 600's is the JBL QUANTUM ENGINE. Although I am still studying the JBL QUANTUM ENGINE, it is so far so awesome and it can adjust to the wearer's needs. Also, the discord certification. They work amazingly well with discord. The JBL QUANTUM 600's have a certification on discord. However, it hasn't worked for me yet. Hopefully it will work for you. Amazing features overall. These are all the reasons why I think the JBL QUANTUM 600's go above and beyond. for the surround sound, the durability and comfort, the discord certification, the QUANTUM ENGINE, and the all-around features. This headset is flat-out amazing! I was initially skeptical of a wireless model at this price point being good, but it was more than I could have asked for. Sound Quality: -The sound is on-par with any other (more expensive) headset I've used. The clarity is immediately noticeable, and seems to match an array of soundtracks, from games to videos and music. -Would recommend playing with the volume adjustment features out-of-the-box before playing, as the first time I needed to adjust the volume was mid-game. Once dialed-in, however, the experience was terrific! Battery & Charging: -Battery life is terrific - able to play for quite a while before needing a re-charge, and even then, the USB-C charging is faster than even I anticipated. -As expected, you cannot charge these headphones and use them simultaneously. Reading other reviews, it appears this is a common complaint, although I would assume this to be the case as with most other electronics. Overall: -Felt like this headset exceeded expectations. Loved the aesthetics of the black/orange color combination, as well as the quality of the sound and battery life of the product. Wow! Talk about being immersed in a game, this headset is second to none as far as sounds quality goes. Love the customization from EQ to bass depth, quantum surround, DTS surround, etc... I am very pleased with this headset and will definitely be my daily go to. Great sound quality that I've come to expect from JBL, however, in my opinion they've gone one step further with the JBL Quantum 600. The immersive quality of the sound puts you right in the middle of the action! Plus, there are many options to choose from! Play wired in or connected to WiFi with the supplied USB wireless dongle. Love all the ways to control your boom style mic. If you are plugged in there is a mute button & volume control half way up the cord, as well as the on the headset OR you can simply raise the mic & it will mute automatically! JBL even added a wind shield to the mic in case you are sitting outside playing on another device. (It's detachable, but why would you?) Adjustments can be made to increase the volume of the game or to the chat, nice touch! There is more than ample padding on the top of the headset allowing for hours of comfortable play & the over the ear cups are REALLY comfortable as well. Another thoughtful consideration that JBL added, was to all the supplied cords. Each is covered in a cloth like material instead of the usual plastic covered cords that are so common. This will no doubt add to their longevity. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend the JBL Quantum 600 to anyone who is into gaming. Comfortable, sturdy headset with great immersive sound, sure to provide many years of enjoyment! The item left me with a couple questions of why. Why not expand on this device to connect with consoles? Why not have the ability for the microphone to be rotated to the right side and left side? Why did the buttons feel low quality? With that said even with those issues I felt this was a really good headset. Upon opening the box in the visual presentation of the item and box was really nice. Once I removed the headset and tried it on headphones were comfortable and secured around my ears. Upon connecting it to my Xbox I had to use the cord which was restricted by the cable length. The sound quality that I got was really good and was able to hear many different noises as I played war zone. The microphone worked very well in talking with my friends over the console. The headset comes with a wireless adapter to be connected to your computer to use the headset. The experience with the wireless adapter was just as good as playing with a cable connected to it. No disconnect issues with the wireless adapter nor any issues or loss of voice or sounds while connected with the cable or wirelessly. The battery life of the headset lasted over 8 hours on one charge of gameplay wirelessly. I would recommend headset for anyone looking for a value priced headset. Even though I believe the buttons were made low quality I would prefer JBL continue to increase the quality of sound and flexibility before worrying about cosmetic. Nice sound when gaming ,clarity is good also I can hear the person. I'm talking to and they can hear me too .They are comfortable too wear ,they were a little heavier than I imagined but it didn't seem to be an issue..The only thing I wish was that they were bluetooth, although they are wireless.I think they are a great pair of headset [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
1. Unable to save color settings 2. Device is disappearing from sounds settings 3. Sound is missing in screen captured clips 4. Foam padding popped out after a year (easy fix, but still...) Well, I gave it a shot and tried to like this headset but all of those things together makes it unusable. Back to Logitech.
