The Studio 530's are very versatile and are strong overall performers for their size and price, IMHO, particularly when used with a good sub or two. And I like the distinctive styling. I use mine in a 5.1 channel A/V set-up with a 520C center speaker and a pair of 550P subs. I'm very happy with them.
This has really nice high frequencies and decent bass. Perfect for playing some good records at decent volume without being to invasive to talk while customers are eating and talking.
This is a long term review. Bought over two years ago.I'm still so impressed that I thought that I must say something. Just excellent for mid size rooms. I have been hooked on audio sense I think about 12 years old now almost 70 and have owned way more stuff than I have time to explain,some bad ,good, and great these are fantastic for the price point.Thanks
What a smooth sounding speaker. I've been listening for about 3 to 4 hours a day to let them break in and I can't be happier. The sound is detailed with perfect center imaging and airy instrument separation. Well wort the 599 retail price but at 230 they have no rival.
Took a while to break in, but wow! Listening To Queen in stereo and music is everywhere it's almost like wearing headphones. The sound stage is stupid wide. Sounds are coming from 4ft to the left and right of the speakers And everywhere in between. The only downside is they make my cheap subwoofer sound bad. I'm sure I'm not missing any details.
I got these to upgrade from my micca mb42x and at first I was a little skeptical they would be that much of an upgrade but as soon as I hooked them to my PC and SMSL AD18 amp I realized the difference and clarity right away. Before i would only listen to a few songs at a time likely from fatigue now when i sit down i cant leave because I enjoy hearing album after album. I can hear more details and the music is much more immersive. Never have I been less than impressed with jbl but now I want to buy the towers eventually too.
Very pleased with my new JBL Studio 530 speakers. Still experimenting with placement and tuning with my subwoofer, but the 530s have what I would call, a nice impact. Nice sparkly highs and tight mid-bass that really gives you that chest hit if you turn up the volume. Not fatiguing at all when listening for long stretches, and they also sound strong at lower volume levels where I mainly listen. Great soundstage too, with sounds seemingly emitting wider and deeper than the speakers are placed. The looks are unique and classic JBL.
I thought it would be hard to "best" the L830's but JBL has done it with these. They don't have quite the low end of the 830's but the 530's aren't skimpy on bass either. Fantastic speakers. I sold high end audio/HT for many years and these can stand with just about anything, they should be double current asking price. Best value in audio I've ever seen.
I discovered the Studio 5 lineup through AVS forum and Audioholics. I ordered the 590's to start to try them out. LOVED THEM for the price they can't be beat I ordered 3 590's for my front 3 in the home theater after much deliberation I decided to go with 4 530's for my surrounds for a matching sound stage. Am I glad I did the highs superb midrange more then satisfying for the price the bass these babies can kick the imaging is spot on the soundstage excellent at full price they are an excellent buy but when on sale they can't be beat I own 3 580's now for my bedroom I will be a JBL buyer for life now when it comes to home theater speakers so so happy outstanding customer service as well Thank you JBL!!!!
I bought 3 of these Studio 590 but one of them has a broken bottom stand and would like a replacement of the stand. Please send the replacement for it.
