I have (2) two sets of Studio 590. My first set that I have had for several years are at my house. They are running on a Conrad-Johnson ET5 and a pair of Classic 60 SE, one on the highs and one on the lows. They are a wonderful with a Crisp Clear Sound and the imaging is Phenomenal. I had no issues with the delivery of these speakers, since I purchased them in the store. My second set of Studio 590 are at my second home and part of a much larger home theater system. I am running a Harman-Kardon 1710 S, which is a 7.2 system with 100w per channel. As part of the system I am running (2) two HKTS 16. The Studio 590 still don't disappoint on sound quality. However, I purchased these DIRECTLY from JBL. I was given a delivery date and service that was completely inaccurate. I was given a UPS tracking number, however since they weigh over 50# it is Shipped freight by a company called Estes, I called customer service and they gave me the necessary information. But then another company had to schedule home delivery, because Estes doesn't deliver to home addresses. I ended up picking up the speakers myself. Since I only have a car I was hit with rental fees and time away from work. IF you do purchase these speakers do yourself a favor and pay for the shipping. Because my costs incurred were in between the overnight and the 2 day options.
Quality build, handsome tower speakers with excellent, detailed sound. High efficiency, non-fatiguing. Big sound field, great imaging. Everything in the music can be distinguished at high, medium and low volumes. I've had them for less than 24 hours and have played them for about 4-5 hours. Can't wait to see how they do after some "break-in" time. Fast shipping. Fantastic value. Very satisfied with this purchase
Studio 590's are ear bleeding loud yet cristal clear and good mid bass. I am running them with a onkyo Amp 250 rms each speaker.
I have 4 JBL L-80ti from the 80' but now, more than 30 years later, i buy these 2 JBL Studio 590 and all I can say is, they are perfect for me. A WALL of GOOD SOUND. I have buy also 2 JBL Studio 210 surround. You can buy eyes close... JBL THE BEST !
Huge soundstage, wide deep, tall. For one tenth the price of my Genesis, I'm rediscovering the music that I thought I knew so well. They sound fantastic! No fatigue at all. I got them yesterday and rushed to hook them up. Now I'm hooked. Good bye Genesis!! You've served me well, old pals.
Looks are impressive , sound great , and sports with the horns sounds stadium like .. great for home DJing as you can see … lol
I bought these refurbished and they look brand new, not a scratch on them. They definitely deliver concert like sound and the imaging is out of this world! These speakers could definitely light up 5 acres with music. I can't get them above -3db volume on my pioneer sc-lx701 receiver. To much for my livingroom lol.
I've been vying for replacing my 190's with the 590's ever since I got the 190's back in 2014. Not that the 190's were bad, no, I have been very happy with them. I was on a budget. But now these... I am so blown away by the sheer amazement these two speakers deliver. I could turn everything else off in my 7.1 set up and just leave these two 590's up front and not be able to tell. In fact I had issues telling surround on or off in my tiny 18 x 12 home theater room. The sound stage these bring is just awesome. They have so much base and so much range. I paired them with the 520c too, replacing my previous 120c. Glad I made the buy.
I have used and loved your speakers for over 35 years but these are very disapointing.
Unboxed it. Plugged it in and it sounded great. After a hour I decided to remove the grill and saw it had imperfections. Dust cap pushed in. Apparently it passed inspection and was ok'd to give to a customer. Now I gotta break my back packing it back up and sending it back to wait for a replacement. Never had such bad quality control issues. 2nd purchase I had to send back for replacement.
