Very happy with purchasing. Was a nice addition to my other JBL Studio speakers. Easy set up and adjust. Bass is deep and accurate. Speaker is exactly what I expect from JBL ,quality.
Mine is now a few years old. It has been trouble free. The sound is great. Adds a lot to every show or music played. Must have for anyone serious about their system. Even saves power when the system is off. Well built piece.
Just hooked mine up to compliment my JBL towers and Harmon Kardon Reciever. The towers are top of the line and my last sub couldn't play loud and clear enough to keep up with them. Not an issue anymore.
I purchased this sub a week ago and I'm totally satisfied; it performs just how you would expect from a subwoofer: powerfully and deeply even at low volumes, filling the room with its presence. Probably my choice couldn't have been better!
Love this sub, it makes enough bass that it vibrates my drywall. Make sure when you buy it though, that you move it around the room to find the best position for it.
This thing is incredible, sounds amazing! This is definately a life long product, built to last.
purchase the Studio sub, bookshelf speakers and center channel speaker for a small size room. all the speakers except the sub are hooked up to a Denon home theater amp with pre-outs that go to the sub. I was very surprised that the sub volume was very low. I even had it staged in the corner of the room for a 3 to 6 db gain. My 25 year old Sound Dynamics sub had to be turned down to less than half volume where this one is up all the way and then boosted +12db from the pre-amp settings. Ive had good luck with JBL in the past but this sub is disappointing. the sound quality is good, but there is no way the built in Amp is even 200 watt.
I have 2 of these sub's and the amp is dead in both (PB12 & 260P). The sound was great when they worked, but JBL doesn't have parts to fix them if the amp goes bad. Called JBL when the PB12 amp went out and was told no parts are available, so I bought a new one. I took the 260P to get repaired and it has a dead amp also. I will never buy a JBL sub again.
Buyers beware, this sub is currently discontinued! This subwoofer was discontinued by JBL Harman less than a year after I purchased it. The board randomly went out on mine, just after the warranty period expired. Even though I was disappointed to discover the warranty period was short, compared to their competitors, I was willing to pay to fix it myself. Since this product is discontinued, parts are no longer available. I am left with a useless sub now.
THIS IS THE 3 SUBWOOFER FROM JBL TO GO BAD WAS HOPEING THIS ONE WOULD LAST . BUT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE OLDER MODELS QUIT WORKING AND MAKES A LOAD NOISE / AFTER IT TURNS IT SELF ON . WAS TOLD NO PARTS CAN BE GOT , USING IT AS A SHELF TO PUT MY MAIN SPEAKERS ON
