To save some calories, Substitute about 1/4 milk with almond milk, adding the almond milk when you take it off stove. I also add 2 packets equal and 1/2 tbsp dutch chocolate powder.
To the folks complaining about this SUGAR FREE/FAT FREE Jello pudding NOT tasting like it did 40 years ago, etc; etc; it's delicious if you use anything but fat free milk and I'm pretty sure it hasn't been around since the dark ages, lol. btw, I'm 56 years old.
You would never know that this pudding is sugar free and fat free. Tastes like the real stuff. Easy to make ..... I make 2 boxes at a time as it disappears so quickly. Great product.
This is my favorite snack and good even when you're dieting...I prefer the cook and serve!
I used this item to make a wonderful pie for my husband, who is diabetic.
For the past two years I have not been able to find cook and serve pudding to make a pie for my dad, because he is diabetic. Finally found it on Walmart website. Thank you
I made chocolate mini pies topped with slithered almonds. I couldn't stop eating pie after pie.
Something has been changed and it certainly is not for the better! The texture is DISGUSTING! I thought I ruined the first box because there are NO directions on the box for cooking it, only for the cold prep version. How dumb is that! So I guessed at the amount of milk to add and ended up with a thick clumpy "glop". Inedible. Sooooo I tried a second box after researching how much milk to add (it seems it is 3 cups) and guess what? SAME disgusting goo with clumps and black chocolate specks throughout. Excuse the analogy but it reminded me too much of "snot" for me to find it remotely enjoyable. Another wasted mix plus another 3 cups of milk. DON'T buy it - I'll try making my own from scratch but such a pity. I always loved Jello chocolate pudding!!
Who in the world does the taste testing at this company? These folks changed their old winning recipe and with it the taste went out the door. What used to be a classic, is now trash. Not the same taste in the least. And rather than give their consumers the choice to select the old product from the new, they dumped the old formula, for this paste! Unforgiveable. I'll never buy Jello again. Sorry.
DO NOT SUBSTITUTE> I do not like instant only cook n serve I had to go to Bloomington today to get what I want. I am thinking of stopping the shopping on line.
