The Jewel Heist game is very fun! We play this together as a family and I love to see the excitment on my boys faces when they are about to win! My fiance also brings this to his game night at work which they all say is a great game that does not take hours on end to complete! I really like how well constructed the box is, as it will not break easily like many other game boxes and the peices all fit in so nicely! If you want a game that is fun to play as a family with teenagers or as an adult game night, then I would recommend investing in this game! Very fun you will not be dissapointed! This was a great game, it took us a couple tries to actually get the rules down but when we did everyone was laughing. It reminded us a little of 7-up, a game played in school. It was hard trying to lift up the case without anyone knowing who was the thief but that was the best part of the game. So much fun. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We played this game for game night. It suggests 5 players which makes it challenging to play at home but perfect for game night. The directions are very simple to understand and it's easy to get started. We played a couple of times because it took about 15 minutes per game. We had a couple of good thieves in our group! We laughed so hard and had the best time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
At first I wasn't sure about this game because it seemed liked it would be really easy to tell who the robbers were, but after we started playing we really enjoyed it and it wasn't as easy to tell as I thought it would be! Fun for both adults and kids! Great family game! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This game ended up being a big hit with my daughter and her pre-teen friends. It was easy to teach, caused some intense deliberations, and provided plenty of laughs. The only downside is that it requires a minimum of 5 players so you can't just play it whenever. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We received this game as a free trial about two months ago. My three boys, ages 14, 12 and 9 years old were really happy about this very interesting game. This game took us a couple of tries because the instructions were difficult to process but we finally got it and the game was fun to play. This game requires a lot of thinking, mystery, solving and It's mysterious planning about how to steal jewels and not to get caught. Jewel Heist Game will be in our family game collection and will continue playing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
It took us awhile to play the game for the first time, because it's difficult finding a minimum of 5 players. I opened the box and there isn't a bunch of pieces, so it appeared simple. I read through the directions and the rules seemed to be complicated, with several different outcomes, to several different scenarios. We couldn't memorize them all and decided we would go ahead and play and look back on the directions if we needed to... Then, you guys!!! It was a blast! Having to be a sneaky criminal and keep a straight face or trick the other team is exhilarating! My fellow criminals were teaming up against me, but it helped us win the game! This is a fun game of strategy, reading body language, trickery, and stealthiness! We had the directions memorized after only a few times of play, regardless how complicated they looked at first. We could not stop playing. I think it would be fun everytime as you play with different people, only downside is you need at least 5 people 13 years of age or older to play! Perfect way to get those older kids involved in family game night or fun for adults too! A game game of robbers vs detectives, but who's who? Follow the jewels and clues to find out. Don't get tricked! Amazing attention of detail from the realistic jewel vault and warrants to the newspaper instructions and evidence tape packaging to truly set the scene. May be difficult for younger players, must have 5-8 players, and contains small pieces. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My kids and their friends had a great time playing Jewel heist! They had a blast trying to figure out which of them were playing each role. The packaging is nice and small so there isn't a lot of space used up on the game shelf. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We received Jewel Heist as a promotional item to review for Mattel Games. The game requires 5 players. As a family of 3, we had to recruit some players before we could give it a try. 5 players is a hard number for most families. The game starts with “robbers” , who are assigned by secret cards, having to steal the jewels while everyone closes their eyes. We found this part very difficult since the robbers had to physically reach the vault from where they were sitting. With them moving around, even in the least bit, everyone around them who had their eyes closed knew who was moving. And the stealing needed to be completed in only 15 seconds, which wasn't possible. We gave them 30 seconds. Since it was so easy to tell who the robbers were, the game didn't last very long. We lost interest after 2 rounds and moved on to another game.
