I am disappointed that I am unable to get this microphone working. I added it as a device to my computer, but the sound is not working. Upon reading the instruction booklet, I noticed it says that it can be setup on Windows 7, 8 and 10. I have Windows 11 on my computer and am wondering if this could be part of the problem. Other than this issue, I like the look of the microphone and it does not take up too much room on the desk, and it is lightweight if you want to take it with you. Also, I like the mute button if someone needs to speak with you, you can quickly shut off the sound. If you are needing to speak to several people the microphone can be used for group calls or individual calls. Overall, I am going to keep trying to get the microphone sound working or have someone assist me. I would recommend this product.
I got this GO Talk USB Microphone for my mother in law because she does short podcasts for her church. The previous setup in the form of a webcam/mic combo would not perform great. It really didn't give her the visual direction of where to speak as she is older and not used to speaking into a tiny camera. This mic gave her the visual direction she needed to speak with great sound quality during recordings. I like the positional stand and easy to control features readily available on the mic. She can place it wherever it suits her best at the table. One thing I do wish it had was an extendable stand. I imagine there are options for this out there. All in all it is a nice little product and adds a bit of professional recording atmosphere which makes her happy.
The JLAB GO Talk Microphone is very easy to install! I simply plugged it in, changed my setting for my audio to come out of my speakers and it's set up the internal audio in coming from the microphone. It has a nice feature on the front which you can automatically mute your microphone by tapping the volume key. And has a nice game boost for the volume for people like me that have a deeper voice. It was also easy to install with the base. And is stylish. The microphone is felt covered. Additionally one nice little feature for it is that if the audio in is muted, the light will turn red. The small things make this a really nice microphone.
This Jlab go talk USB Microphone has the absolute best quality of any Microphone I have ever used. I do a lot of Zoom sessions and I have an issue with people hearing me clearly so I got this Microphone and now there is no issues at all. One other great quality that I love is the quick mute, when my dogs start barking I can hit the quick mute and the person on the other end is not bothered by my dogs. Excellent Microphone!
I was somewhat surprised at the size of the microphone. It’s a really nice setup. It is simple to use, just plug into a USB port, works with Laptop and Desktop computers. It has a volume and Gain control, the same knob adjusts for both. And it comes with a Headset setting. I am genuinely impressed with the quality of this microphone. It’s made to be really durable and long lasting. I definitely recommend this product for purchase.
So easy to use!!! And sounds sooooo clear!!! Usually when I do my voice record auditions I have to go in my closet with the mic I use to have to get a clear smooth sound. I stood in my dining room and plugged this bad boy into my laptop it was so easy too!!! And the record of my voice sounded beautifully!!!!! No echos same as if I was in an insulated closet. I LOVEEE this mic! Super easy to connect the mic to the base, you can also attach this microphone to a mount it comes with 2 adaptor pieces sizes 5/8 and 1/4. The c port clicks into the microphone and then the usb clicks right into your laptop! I use audacity for my voice records and the microphone popped up as (Jlab GO Talk) it has light indictstor to show blue for volume green for gain and red for mute! It also has a setting that the microphone records from the front of it which is called cardioid or record from all surroundings called Omni and it shows 2 symbols. Thought that was sooo cool!! And the way to position the microphone is with the 2 dial buttons at the bottom and you have it just a little slanted back! Would highly recommend!!! And this will be the microphone I useeee for all my voice records!! It's better than my arc anthem mic honestly!
This microphone works well and is good for streaming voice chats with your friends through Zoom or Discord. However, the quality of the sound is quite raw and not the greatest; but it's manageable. The compact size doesn't take up a lot of space on your desk. I would recommend this microphone to others.
I simply opened the box, plugged it into my usb hub, turned up the gain, and selected the cardioid pattern. It lets in much less background noise than my previous tabletop microphone. I made a few recordings with it, and they were crisp and clean. I work remotely and use it every day for work. Two thumbs up. Reasonably priced for what you get.
This is very beginner friendly for streamers or gamers in general. I highly recommend if you're looking for a good quality mic
Unfortunately I connected this using zoom and was unable to hear or anyone hear me. It powers on and shows it's connected to my computer but when I speak to people they don't here me and I can't hear them. As soon as I unplug it from my computer I can hear everyone again.
