I love this product and the price is great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Mousse. My hair has transformed since using it. I heard about using mousses to enhance curls or make a relaxed look more defined, but all of the products I used before John Frieda had little to no effect on the awkward state of my natural hair. When I used to wear my hair naturally, with or without mousse, it was a Shakespearean tragedy. I'd say, "I think I'll try natural today," then always end up putting my hair in a ponytail because the almost-waves were just unflattering; They gave off a careless, frumpy vibe-not beautiful Grecian waves or luscious curls-just blah... Finally I sprung for John Frieda, and I truly have never gone back. My hair has about twice the volume with this mousse and now I feel like a Victorian Princess. The mousse not only enhances my natural hair, but creates beautiful, bouncy, and shiny curls where there wasn't any before. I love it. All I do is put some mousse in my hand, run it through my hair, and scrunch my hair to boost the curl-effect. Another awesome perk to this mousse? It doesn't make your hair crispy and it doesn't leave it looking wet.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have limp wavy hair that comes to life when I use John Frieda's Curl-Boosting Mousse. I have tried every mousse know to man from bottom of the line to salon professional and this one tops them all. It provides frizz control, volume, and flexibility without any of the crunch or heaviness. It is what I swear by for my curly style and I get complements all the time. I recommend this product to my friends like crazy!
I have 3b curls and this is one of the best products to use!
Have been using this product for a year now, I really like it, and wanted to buy more to replace it because I'd used mine up.
I have very unmanageable curly hair. When people ask me if my hair is natural or a perm, I reply "natural" there has been serval occasions where ladies continue to tell me it's a very very nice perm and they have worked in a salon for years and curly hair just doesn't look like that! What?!? It is NATUAL, sometimes I wish it wasn't, but it is. I can't even begin to tell you how many products my mom and I have used on my hair growing up. An out of state friend introduced me to this mousse 8 years ago and ever since, I haven't gone a day without it!!! If u haven't tried it, try it!!!! I was always one to put my hair atleast half way up cuz I hated dealing with it, but with this mousse, wearing my hair completely down is my everyday go to! I highly recommend this product!!! This product will be your hair's best friend. I promise you!!!!
I just got this product and I've used it today after I got out of the shower. It seems to be good quality but I can't tell because I really need to try more products from them. It does define my curls and it cut down the frizz some. I wanna try the leave in conditioner next where I can see if it helps my dry hair. I've used John Frieda products in the past and they worked very well.
Came without a lid which makes travel hard. Varying results with my naturally curly/wavy hair. Seems color safe. Would buy again.
I have a loose, natural-looking perm, and I've used the (old) Curl Reviver since I first went wavy six years ago — it always gave my waves volume and definition, and while I didn't pay much attention to the original scent, it was pleasant. Like other reviewers I see here, I was confronted with only the new canister when I went to repurchase a few months ago, and got the impression that only the branding and scent had changed (no mention of a new formula). But this is definitely a different product; it gives my curls zero oomph, actually leaves my hair stringier than if I don't use it at all, and I see I'm not in the minority in thinking that it smells extremely off-puttingly (the first time I used it, I was reminded forcibly of the scent of some product a high school boyfriend used to wear — THAT was weird and unpleasant). I didn't realize how drastic the difference in this formula is until I used some of the original I had left in a travel size on a trip this past weekend; for three days, my curl was back! But, I've just used the "new" again, and it's limp, cloying strands all over. Comparing the two formulas side by side in person, I can see that the new does not list any parabens in its ingredients, and the old did; is this perhaps why the change? If so, OK, but surely JF could go back to the drawing board, since so many users are so unhappy over the changes!
The sprayer is not working, dispenses water-like if at all. Sprayer defective.
