I'm 30 and still use this, but I have to be honest not a huge fan of the new scent. I love this stuff! It works so well, is affordable, and works for frizz too. I'm not wasting my money trying expensive name brand products when this has been working fine for years!
I have used this for 20 years and it was always such a lifesaver and the fragrance was pleasant and didn't linger. I am very disappointed in the changes that have been made. My daughter and I start coughing at the first spray and the formula doesn't work as well. Please change it back!
I've been using this product for many years. It's the only detangling spray I've found that actually works on my very curly hair and daughters, leaving it soft and manageable. Not only is the smell nauseating, manageability is no longer. Sadly, I'll be looking for a new product and will no longer recommend to others.
Whatever they changed in this product, we are done with it. It causes horrible skin rashes anywhere it touches and everyone sneezes as soon as we spray it as well. We have multiple bottles for our daughters and it is all going straight in the garbage. We have been using this product for years with no issue. We don't understand why a company would change an established and effective product formula unless they are simply just trying to save money which is a bad reason to change something that worked and was trusted. Either way, with all of the complaints on the site, it was clearly not tested well.
I just recently bought a new bottle of the Johnson and Johnson detangler spray and it stated new look. I did not think anything of it when purchased just thinking maybe the bottle had a new look. So, I used it tonight for the first time, and I am very disappointed that I paid any type of money for this product. Obviously the new look must have came with a new formula. I had trouble combing my hair in the first place which has never happened before with this product especially because I used it specifically to help comb my hair. With the new look product I had more trouble combing my hair and it felt like a sticky residue was left behind. I'm very disappointed because I have very thick hair and this was the best product I found to help me be less tangled. Now it seems like using the product makes it worse or harder. Please bring back the old formula of this product or you definitely lost a consistent customer.
I have used this product on my daughters hair daily for the past 4 years. The other day I bought a new bottle with a cute lion on the front. When we used it we both started coughing from the smell. It's so awful. We tried to just power through the terrible new smell for a few more uses but it's just too terrible to tolerate. I will be returning this bottle and I guess buying another brand. Very disappointing.
I've been using the detangling spray since I was little, I'm 25 now and it's the only product that works on my curly hair. The new product with the lion on it smells absolutely awful. It is way too strong and when it gets on my skin I get an allergic reaction. Really disappointed Johnson's Baby. Please bring the original back!!
I started buying the detangler a year ago for my daughter and I would get so many compliments on how lovely her hair smelled, I was always so happy to recommend the Johnson and Johnson detangler spray and shampoo. BUT! Ever since the new formula came out I've had so many issues with it, 1) my daughter and I sneeze every time I spray it 2) if I spray it more than once ( 1 spray is never enough) it makes my daughter and I cough. She's only two so that made me stop using it. 3) it doesn't work as well as the old formula her hair ends up in knots at the tips. 4) the saddest part of all the smell is unpleasant. Please bring the old cent back.
I've been using this product for over 10 years and recently bought a bottle that looked a little different, however went ahead. As soon as I opened it, the scent hits you in the face. It's an awful baby powder smell. I am absolutely disappointed that the smell changed as it used to smell soooo good. BRING BACK THE OLD SMELL! Will not be purchasing again until the old smell returns.
I have used this for YEARS! I'm an adult with extra long hair and this product has been a long time staple for me. I used the new formula yesterday and much to my dismay found that it STINKS!! I was literally coughing when I applied it and found myself gasping for air as I sprayed a fine mist after stepping out of the shower! Why on earth did you change this once amazing product?? I would like a refund of my money on this but of course that's not going to happen! I will have to find another product now. PLEASE, consider bringing back the old scent. It was pleasant and non-obtrusive. The new one is terrible!
