A COMPANY THAT PUTS SAFETY FIRST As a gift, I received the Nook highchair and it must have been damaged in shipping.... after realizing their was a problem with the tray closure that somehow had gotten cracked I called into customer care and explained the problem. Anthony from care helped me and told me to cut up the seat and harness and destroy the product so someone else couldn't use it as safety is first.........and he apologized and sent me out the newer model of the Nook highchair, I noticed not only was the product sleek and modern looking it was lighter and more convenient to store with limited space. Having had back, ankle and knee surgeries from an accident I needed the right tools to care for the baby........ Ethan is 5 months old and the upright position of the highchair as well as the adjustable tray table are a perfect fit given his age and growth ahead. the pop off cleaning tray is so wonderful for eas of cleaning and the cushioning of the seat makes it comfortable for baby ETHAN AND I LOVE THIS CHAIR and mostly I love that Anthony and the Joovy service team put safety first, nothing is as important as the safety of our little loved ones and using products from a company that cares puts a trust and ease in my mind. I definitely recommend this highchair and give applause to Joovy for putting safety first and for promptly handling the issue so my little Ethan was safe and sound in his new highchair ♡
This is an amazing chair. It comes out of the box ready to use! I can unfold it with one hand while I carry my 10 month old in the other, get him in and ready to eat so easily. The snap on part on the try makes it so easy to clean up after a particularly messy meal. And since we don't have much room to spare in our house the convenience of the chair folding up so compactly is my favorite feature! Highly recommend!!
I bought the Nook in color Coral for my daughter after returning a very bulky chair. (Different brand) I am so happy I did, this chair is far the cutest and most practical chair Ive seen. It was already assembled, I literally just took it out the box and "TADA". My 1yr old has alot of leg room which is one of the problems I was encountering when I was looking around since she is a lil chunky. The swing open tray is awesome when you have your hands full. Its a sleek chair that doesnt take up too much space. I was worried that it would be hard to clean but I used a warm cloth with soap to clean off spills. The color to the leatherette is beautiful too which is what sold me. This high chair is my 2nd Joovy product and I defitnely recommend.
No, this highchair is not a simple swipe to clean (it has nooks. Children are messy. Do the math), but is has a one-hand tray opening (which, if left wide open, feels flimsy, but has never caused us an issue); small footprint (closes in one motion, with one hand) to the size of a small carry-on bag; AND is fuss free. Seriously! Why the in world would you need bells & whistles on a high-chair? It's main function is to hold your child while he/she eats/tosses food/ smears food/ presses food into the seat. I want a basic chair. All day. That said, after nearly two years of thrice daily use, the hinge on both sides broke at the spot where it bends, rendering it useless. But, Joovy was quick to remedy - submitted my warranty information and all is well again.
Love how easily this cleans. The fabric wipes off nicely and tray topper removes for an easy clean. Folding and storing is simple. Ive even put it in the car or camper for longer vacation trips.
FTM of twin boys and love these chairs. I have big babies (both 21 lbs @ 6 mos) and they are comfy and safe in the joovy hc. I was a bit concerned about the sturdiness from only seeing the photos but it's a solid chair. Plus, no assembly, reasonable price, swing open tray, wipeable seat, and fold n store features make this a really smart buy.
I bought this product a few weeks ago. It's fun to show off to my family how awesome it is. The removable tray makes cleaning so easy. The way it folds is great for storage. But my baby loves it. He is so comfortable in it. He could play there all day. The material in the seat is easy to clean too. 5 stars for me.
For starters I love the simplistic design of this high chair and you only need one hand to swing the tray around, which makes it so easy when holding baby. The tray is a two-part tray which comes with a removable clear tray and that makes cleaning so easy. The cushion is also pretty plush. I've had it for only a week, but love it so far.
Pros: looks good, sturdy, swing open tray, detachable tray makes tray clean up easy, folds for easy transport. Cons: Nightmare to do a deep clean on, leatherette does not hold up. Would have hoped this high chair would hold up for #2 but after being in storage for year + and needing to do a more thorough clean the exterior began ripping. Unfortunately, the seat cover has been on long term backorder.
At first we liked this high chair... It's slim, folds nicely and isn't an eye sore. BUT, that's about it! We wanted this chair because of it's simplicity. We started using it when our son was about 6 months. Fast forward to now and an active one year old... It's impossible to clean, despite the removable try. The swing open try is flimsy. Last night with some rocking during dinner it snapped right at hinges. So the "great for squirmers" boast is far from true. I would recommend this chair as a back-up or for occasional use. The simple, "grow together" and lost cost design is lost in cheap plastic and spending more on a product that will last.
