I ordered this rocker after returning the same one in the natural stain, and I am so glad that I did. The white paint is applied much more evenly than the stain, and it has the look of a classic southern porch rocker. The width and height are very generous, and it is very solid. My father-in-law put it together for me, and it is a good thing that he did because two of the holes were misaligned making it necessary for him to drill two new ones. Also it was reasonably priced in comparison to similar rockers. I am really happy with my purchase.
I love the idea of a double rocker, and the price of this one is reasonable compared to others I've seen. It seems to be well-made and is a generous size easily holding my husband and me. However, it is not a natural color as stated but rather a very dark stain which is poorly applied. Furthermore, it was not packaged well so the bag of screws was broken open and floating around the box. The directions were poor as well as they were just a picture with a bunch of numbers for the screws, but the screws themselves were not numbered. Ultimately, I returned it because of the color of the stain, but I liked the size and style of it so I reordered the white one. I am hoping that the paint is more evenly applied than the stain, and that the screws are not floating around the box. We'll see...
The instructions to put this together are non-existent, so it's frustrating, but you can figure it out. The pieces were not in the cardboard wraps made for them...the wraps were just empty and the pieces placed on top of each other in the large cardboard box. Many pieces were seriously gouged up...thought it may have been a return from someone else. Half of the hardware was in a sealed bag, the other half just rolling around loose in the large box...but it was all there. I purchased for my front porch, to be mainly decoration, so mine will see little use. Good thing, because it's quite large and VERY uncomfortable...it actually scrapes your legs if you sit down in shorts. If you want to actually USE this item, plan on wearing long pants or draping a towel. It barely rocks, maybe 4 inches back & forth, and if you place your back against the back of the rocker it feels like it's going to break. Bottom line...nice to the eye, useless for anything else.
