I don't see what the big deal is, they're comfortable, they last hundreds of times longer than conventional buds, primarily because you don't need to turn them to maximum volume to hear over lawnmowers, drum kits, ect. I'm a recording engineer/active drummer. These meet expectations beyond belief. Why don't more people own these!! It's got pretty decent bass but it's got incredible balance between highs and lows. Incredible quality. Prowd owner since December 4th and I still haven't swithced out my silicone tips. GET THESE!
Just like the other reviews, I didn't know what to expect when I bought these because they were cheap. I primarily got them because I wanted a pair of earbuds with foam ends. These are great. I can wear them on the motorcycle with my husband, they don't hurt my ears, they don't fall out, and the sound is awesome. I hope they don't ever stop making them.
I purchased these about 6 months ago in a fit of desperation. My then earbuds were on the fritz, sometimes playing, sometimes not, and it was driving me crazy! So I bought these because they looked nice and they were cheap. I thought they would hold me over until I could afford some "higher quality" earbuds. I was so surprised by how comfortable they were. And the sound quality was fantastic! Now six months later, the only complaint I have is that the ear "marshmallows" are starting to get hard. The sound is still awesome though. Oh, and just for comparison, my sister bought some Skullcandy earbuds and within 2 months, the sound was messing up. Now she steals my JVC Marshmallow earbuds because she likes them better.
I just got a pair of these and they sound great and the price is not bad either. Nice highs and good deep bass at low and high volume. I use them with my mp3 phone and CD player. Trust me if your looking for a good reasonable priced pair these are it.
For the price I can not believe the quality of sound that comes from these headphones. I have small ears so the buds that came with my I Pod were always falling out. Not so with these headphones.. Love them!!
Headphones are currently plugged into my iPod. The overall build is very sturdy. Wire casing seems thick and long wearing. It comes with different sized buds for a custom fit. My iPod has a wide variety of genres of music. Here's my take on a few after listening: Electronica/Trance/House/Drum and Bass - Bass tones are deep and tight and the highs are crisp. Rock/Heavy Metal - Guitar and bass guitars hit really hard Hip Hop/Rap/R&B - Bass heavy songs are heavy, deep; good mids and highs Pop/Top 40 Hits - Good balance of mids, highs and bass tones To get the best audio performance, you must compress the foam buds and insert in your ears as far in your ear as comfortably as possible. Lastly, rip your music at a high sample rate. Majority of my music is sampled at 192 kbps and up. Anything lower, you may not have the same listening experience as I have. Perhaps this is why some reviewers rate the headphones a bit low. Enjoy!
I bought these to replace the earphones that came with my iPod shuffle. They are extremely comfortable, and the sound quality is great. These are the best earphones ever!
I was really skeptical about the quality of 20 dollar earbuds. I decided to purchase them and try them out in store before I left to test the variouse qualities of this product. I was amazingly surprised. The foam has a great ability to keep outside noise out and the bass was above my expectations. I have a ipod shuffle that doesn't have a customizable equalizer so my last earbuds didn't put out any bass but with these JVCs I have no complaints in that department. Although for some reason my ipod shuffle puts out static through these earbuds even paused and with the volume all the way down. It works perfect with my Sandisk mp3 player though. Overall I'm pleased with my purchase.
so maybe I have sensitive ears because having to shove these in to the point that they actually stay is rather painful, at least to me. The sound is awesome, the bass comes through perfectly and can't hear anything else around you. The only other problem is they don't stay in at the gym, the second I begin to get hot/sweaty, they slip out. Ultimatly, I don't recommend if you're looking for comfort or something to take with you on your workout... I personally don't enjoy shoving objects in my ears and they tend to ache for hours after using them.
I really wanted to get these because people on here made them out to be awesome. I love listening to my ipod and I thought that these would be great for that. I went out and got them and they did not meet my expectations at all. Yes they are half comfortable but I barely could hear the bass and the sound quality was poor. The $10 pair of gummy headphones work alot better than these $20 pair do. Im returning these and getting the gummys.
