This is exactly what I was looking for size-wise and that it will play cassettes. I so prefer the ability to stop and start when listening and can rewind to have something repeated ie books that I have not been able to accomplish with any other medium. And it is not a big bulky boombox sort of player either. The radio part is a bonus feature for me. My 80-plus father also enjoys using it and lightweight is a necessity.
my son is multi-handicapped and loves to be able to take his music with him. He loves his cassettes and to listen to the radio. To him this is his walkman. We download CD's to cassettes so he can take his music anywhere. This way if the tape breaks I can always make another copy. It is easy for him to use and quite frankly very nice for the price. I thought we got a great deal for a great price. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Thank you for still having items on your site that I can get for someone who is blind and multi-handicapped. Bought this for my 8 year old to listen to books on tape. Works great and she is reading far above her grade level! Great product for the price and intended use.
My mom had audio cassetes of old memories and lectures and i did convert them on cds but she was hesistant using the cd player when the audio player came she has been listening to the cassetes and is very pleased
I used to buy simple plain individual cassette players at Walmart for $5... I would use them for listening centers in my classroom. With the change in technology toward CDs...and the wearing out of the cassette players, I thought all my money for tapes was wasted...I couldn't buy the cassette players any longer at the store. I did find these cassette/radios...twice the price but at least my tapes and books aren't being wasted.
This is an excellent am/fm radio, and cassette player. I was surprised at how strong the signal was thinking I'd have to turn it all the way up, when the opposite was true. I thought that because it was so inexpensive, it also would not be powerful, and it would be cheaply made. I was completely surprised by its power and sturdiness. I will recommend this to all of my friends that might be looking for a similar product. The bonus in all of this was not having to buy a headset, it already comes with one! I tried to find an off button and couldn't, but thanks to your directions I just put it in tape mode when I wasn't using it. Thanks for this procuct. I'd give it 10 stars, or more. We purchased 3 and gave one to a friend, we could afford it since one would have cost the price of 3 if we purchased it somewhere else.
The product is a good value for what it is. The cassette player works with good sound quality and the FM/AM Radio works great. I get good reception for the radio deep inside a building where I work. The only drawback is there is not a rewind button for the cassette player. For the cost this is a great product.
