Does this work for a ps4 if the hdmi port is broken the game console??
I use this to connect a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010) to a 40" Emerson LCD HDTV purchased at Walmart. I purchased one of these as an open demo from a Computer Store and paid almost $10 more! The demo was DOA and since I don't live where the store is, had to exchange through Kanex. If I had known Walmart carried this, I would have definitely purchased it from them and saved the hassle of returns and got a better price! The cool thing about this model is one of the first and smallest Apple Display Port Adaptor that passed Digital Audio to the HDMI port, when other larger, and more expensive units used USB and Mini Jack connections for audio. Check the Kanex site for which MacBooks are compatible to pass Digital Audio.
The Kanex iAdapt V2 does what it's suppose to do at half the price of most of the other Display Port to HDMI adapter! It even has a smaller profile that many of them. The nice thing about using this product through the HDMI port is that both the video and audio go through the same cable, there isn't the need for separate cables for the audio and video. If you want a great, quality product at a budget price go with this!
