Our little Charlie, a male eclectus has thrived on this formula. He is beautiful, has put on weight and is weaning so easily. He is a happy and healthy. I will continue to use this formla with all our babies.
My Best Friend got ,me into the breeding of birds. However, since we live in a remote county, there are no stores locally that carry our brands of choice. INstead of changing to what my best friend Kathy thought would be cheaper but with less quality, we traveled to several bird fairs in the last years of her life. She impressed on me the importance of using "Only KayTee Select" baby food to raise healthier, happier babies. Every clutch I have raised has been fed this. When Kathy passed away in July 2008, I was left with all of the cockatiels, one pair of parrotlets, and one Noble Macaw. Some of her other friends had arrived prior to me to claim the birds they wanted, and though I would have loved to have just one more pair of parrotlets, I only got the one. So I have restarted my breeding program. A pet store in town will buy the babies I produce and raise to sell for pets. He will pay me less each than I would charge someone who came to me to purchase a bird, but it gets them out of my house. I have 4 cockatiels just weaned, perching, and eating seeds leaving for the pet shop tomorrow. I also have 8 eggs in the box, and only one box on, although I have 2 more breeding pairs. I want to see how this works out before I go all out with all of my pairs breeding. My theory here is to always use KayTee Exact to raise the babies. They grow so fast and have gorgeous plumage when they are ready to go, whether they are cinnamon pied like one of the babies or normal gray like the other 3. I'm hoping that with the help of this store owner & can get all my breeders going and start making some who want good quality pet birds very happy!
I love and trust this product for all my parrotlet and lovebird babies. They have all thrived, grown and become healthy young adults from handfeeding Kaytee Handfeeding Formula according to the detailed instructions on the package. I won't use any other.
I used this product to feed my bird when he was a baby, and it worked excellent! He loved it, and it kept him very healthy and with very well nutrition. It was great. If i ever get another bird i will definitely use this same product without a doubt.
I have used Kaytee Exact handfeeding formula for my cockatiels for many years. It is easy to mix, easy to use, and my birds do very well on it. They transition to Kaytee's other foods easily after being on the handfeeding formula. The cost is comparable with other formulas, but I always recommend Kaytee to pet parents who purchase my birds. It is an excellent product that has helped me raise many happy healthy babies!
I had a cockatiel who was attacked by a larger bird and had his beak injured. I used the formula to keep him eating and getting the nutrition he needed.
My Bird loves this product. Davie is a 24 year old African Grey who stopped eating normal bird food a couple years ago in her old home, a great home with experienced bird people. The last owners and us have tried everything, exams and x-rays by the vet, different types of seed and pellets and this is the only thing she will eats. Well this and peanuts. She wont even touch a different brand of baby formula. great product and keeps her very healthy Thanks for all you guys do
