My 7-year old daughter loved this bike. She's had it for 18 months and ridden it for miles and miles and miles. The longest day trip we've had was for nearly 40 miles in RI, and she regularly rides it for 10-20 miles on a single day trip. What have greatly helped her to accomplish these is the right size and weight of this bike. She could have ridden a 20" bike in the park or neighborhood, but those wonderful family trips won't have been possible without this 18" bike. She's just so comfortable and at home handling it uphill, downhill and around curves. Now biking is one of her favorite sports, it has a lot to do with the confidence she has built in those longer trips. Only thing is that now the tires were worn out, replacing them would cost about 3/4 as much as buying a new bike (another way to say this bike is inexpensive). We're thinking about buying her another one for the upcoming trip (about 50+ miles). Highly recommended.
fairly easy to put together- the front fork was too tight, but I got the wheel on without a man's help. Other than that, the instructions got me through it! My daughter loves it- but she chose not to put on the streamers or the bag. It was cheaper to have it shipped to me than it would have cost me in gas to get to the store!
GREAT Product overall. Amazing value and it is the perfect size for a child who is too big for the smaller bikes and not big enough for the 20 inch bikes. I am so glad I caught this deal. The greatest part is I ordered this bike online and chose the pick up at store now option. From the time I ordered this bike until pick up time was only 2 hours and 3 minutes! Oh how I LOVE Walmart!!!
My 5 1/2 year old daughter just got this bike I would say it was a great deal! She wants to ride it every second of the day. It is the perfect size she had a 16 inch bike that she learned to ride on and that bike is to small now but the 20 inch was way to big so it was nice to find a bike just the right size. She loves that it has a "back pack" on the front to put things in. We did have a slight problem at first though, the bike she first got wouldn't keep air in the front wheel so we returned it and the people at the walmart where very helpful and made sure they found another bike for her! Thanks for making my daugher happy with such a great bike!
My son had no problems putting bike together! My 8 year old granddaughter LOVES her bike..she says she's keeping it forever and it's her favourite thing in the world haha Great bike..great price. If it had kickstand I'd give 5 but it's 4+
Was suprised to find streamer were actually ribbon and not the usual plastic. Great feature with both hand and coaster( foot ) break. I ordered site to store pick up, or order and pick up, when iI picked it up I asked if they could asseble for me , it took a couple hours but was worth it. My 5 year old loves it.
I purchased this bike over the internet and when I picked it up, it was not the same as the one on the website. It says "Spoiler" on it, but it is a lavender color and it has an 'ocean' theme. Overall, I like the bike because it is more girly than the one on the website. The picture is deceiving, however, I am happy with it. If you're looking for a not-so-girly bike, and like the one in the picture, you may want to make sure you know what you're getting. I've enclosed a pic of the one I rec'd.
I ordered this bike because 18" girls bikes are hard to find. My daughter is soon to be 7 and it's the perfect size for her. My neighbors daughter has the 18" NEXT bike and its made much better for the same price. Nothing really wrong with this bike but its a little cheap looking.
I liked that it is 18 inches. My 5 year old is very tall, 16 inch bikes are almost too short, but 20 inch bikes are too big and don't come with training wheels, 18 inches was just right for her and it will last her for a while as she grows. The quality of this bike needs improvement. The brake is almost impossible for her hand to squeeze, it's too tight, there is no kickstand, the tassels fall off very easy, and there are no other colors for girls, just blue which is okay, but I would have liked to have found other colors.
I feel that its important to write a review so that others don't end up buying and then getting stuck with this bike like me. our ordered set is totally a mess, the front wheel assembly wont fit at all, the fork is too narrow and wont adjust on the wheel. As I found pretty late after standard 30 days return, now I am stuck with a piece of useless junk metal ... don't have zero star to give
