[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This air conditioner has been perfect for not only cooling down the house but also for removing the humidity from the air (especially with the high humidity during this fall season). It's quiet and has a sleek look. It was very easy to install and took us about 30 minutes to do. I love that it has a remote control making it so convenient to change the temperature wherever you are.
This A/C certainly blows out cold air. It cools my entire downstairs which consists of a kitchen, dining room, living room, family room and bathroom. It states it cools up to 1,000 square feet and it's true. It has a removable chassis so you can install it in an exterior wall or a window. Mine is in a window. It requires a special 230-volt/25-amp electrical outlet and not the standard 115 volt. It's easy to operate and has a remote which is nice. This AC is a bit louder than my last one but it's not TOO loud.

I was surprised at the ease of installation and the unit is very quiet and energy efficient. It fit into the window with ease and can be done with one or two people. It has the capacity to cool a bedroom with ease very quickly.
I installed this in our 2 car garage that has minimal insulation on the west facing double metal door. Even on cooler days when the sun hits the door it turns into a giant radiator and heats up the garage well into triple digits and makes it unusable for working or man-cave stuff. In the Summer the Texas heat hits hard. I installed an extra support bracket outside as this thing is heavy and our windows are not really designed to take such a large unit. I'm sure the engineers tested the brackets supplied but I wanted extra. If I was installing it on a second or higher floor I wouldn't feel happy with just the brackets supplied. I'm not just worried about the weight, but Texas winds. Installation is at intermediate skill levels IMO and while all the casing installation is a one-man job you will need a second set of arms to lift the unit into the case once you've fitted it. There is video on Youtube showing how to install this kind of unit which I recommend watching. Search "15000 btu window air conditioner installation". The different brands are pretty much the same to install While we are not at summer temperatures yet, we have had a couple of 95f days, and the garage got up to 105f on the day I installed before turning the unit on to test. The air coming out was icy cold and the temperature in the room dropped to the set 70f within 20 minutes. I wish our home HVAC would blow air this cold. If it can cool down my garage 600sqft +/- it would have no problem cooling an insulated apartment or single-story small house. It says it's rated for up to 700sqft, but I think they are being modest. Operating is easy and the thermostat is the remote control so you can have it reach the desired temperature where you are sitting. It also dehumidifies. Bottom line, this unit does the job. Pros. Powerful, icy cold. Energy efficient and plugs into a regular wall outlet. Cons. When not in use there is no sound barrier like a closed window. The blower is rather on the loud side when operating, but then it is pushing a fair bit or air

It's been a while since I needed to cool a new primary residence airspace. However, my large garage gets quite warm later in the day during our annual 50 days of 100 degrees or more. Because it is insulated, I only need an hour or so to cool it off each day. The Keystone 15,100BTU Window Air Conditioner does the job, allowing me to work without sweat running wild. The unit comes with every bracket and gap insulation a normal installation would need; thank goodness my cooling need didn't entail installation in an opening. The unit comes with a remote control that when sensing is activated, utilizes the temperature at the remote location to control temperature. Oftentimes that location is away from the unit. Additionally, the unit is Energy Star rated so that electrical consumption is reduced; a fan continues to run for 3 minutes after the compressor shuts off and then at 10-minute intervals. Some units even include heating function although mine did not. A sleep function allows the unit to operate at a staggered higher temperature up to 4 degrees when initiated by a control button. The main downside of the unit though, is that it is designed to operate in an opening exposing the rear to the outside of a structure, and to be installed by a licensed installer in order to qualify for the 1-year warranty. These limitations would affect those acquiring the unit for self-installation, and exclusive use within an enclosed structure like a garage without a window. And since there are no instructions referencing modifications for such an installation, one would assume that the unit is only optimal for traditional installations performed by a compensated installer.
I just got this yesterday. It's soooo heavy I can't get it out of the box by myself. (115lbs) I went through the instructions and it seems straight forward. I'm waiting for summer and some help before I can tell you how it runs. I'll have to do a follow up review.
The product was good but it was not handled properly. It arrived with dents and I clearly didnt ordered a beat up AC. I would definitely consider a refund or a replacement. Another thing is that the AC came with tools and nails that did not fit. I had to buy them separately which cost more since it should have came with it. After settling down it does cool my living room and kitchen plus 2 rooms . i love it . but I am upset with how Walmart handled my order. if you consider to purchase this make sure it comes with everything it supposed to come with and that it doesnt come with dents like shown in the photos.
Know the unit can be badly damaged when you receive it. The one I received had big dents in it. And not from shipping. as the box was in good condition.
