We have been dealing with frozen ice cube water on these cold mornings!!! This is the perfect solution. It has a chew free wire protection on the cord. States that its energy efficient and frost free! I think this will be great to keep my pups water from freezing. Im so glad we bought this!!!!!!! I will be telling all my friends! It just plugged right into my extension cord! Filled up and ready to go!
I live in Montana where it gets super cold in the winter. I have this outside for the stray cats so they water when it is so cold. It works wonderfully.

I dont always remember to bring my dogs bowl in, in the evening and now its freezing during the day(literally). This is really nice because she can have water thats not frozen right when she goes out in the morning. Its been keeping the water liquid and is a really nice size for holding a decent amount of water especially for a large dog. Not something I would have thought to buy for myself but really nice to actually have.

Even after having the bowl plugged in for hours indoors the water was a nice warm temperature and not too hot. Able to hold a lot of water and the high walls help keep the water from splashing out. It's advertised as suitable for outdoor winter use but I didn't try that yet.
My dog likes to be outside even on cold days. This bowl keeps his water from getting that thin layer of ice on top.
